Random question, born of reading absently the Book of Vile Darkness...

Does, could Yugoloth lords have such 'servants' (prc)?

Or it is against their own nature, by design? They can favor mortals that way?

Yugoloths could have mortal servants, but that seems to make them like gods. It's unclear whether they despise divinity or just cannot accept it. After all, they are afraid of Apomp's servants destroying their Tower of Incarnate Pain.

In 1e they actually were members of Hades court so if you go that route they could easily work with and attempt to be gods.

There is a comparable vile feat: Scion of Sorrow, see Champions of Ruin p.23. It is essentially the same feat as Thrall to Demon or Disciple of Darkness, and involves a supplicant binding himself to a yugoloth lord.

Yugoloths enjoy making such pacts. They relish rituals that bind mortals into any condition of debasement, corruption, despair or evil. Yugoloths love to manipulate, exploit and abuse others. Woe to any soul who thinks he can profit from such a bargain. As the name suggests, sorrow will be his ultimate reward.

I agree with Sciborg that they do not care to foster cults, or be seen as gods, perhaps because they do not like to draw attention to their manipulations. They prefer to remain as unseen puppet-masters, pulling the strings from off-stage. They may find that such cults of personality constrain their actions or make them targets for rival lords.

But I think any Yugoloth lord whose name appears in a grimoire, scroll, ancient writing or found inscribed on a monument is fair game for such pacts, and indeed probably arranged to have his name put there for the very purpose of being called on for such supplication.

Yugoloth lords most often entreated to make such pacts might include: The Oinoloth, Cholerix, Bubonix, Typhus, Anthraxus, Cerlic (Charon), Xengahra, Malkizid, possibly Taba. But there are certainly many others.

I think Taba might masquerade as a god on some worlds. But then I think Taba masquerades as everything.

Taba is made of win and awesome. I can't wait to get to him/her/it in my storyhour.

Yugoloth lords most often entreated to make such pacts might include: ... Malkizid...

Except that Malkizid isn't actually a yugoloth. I'd treat him as an archdevil (same as moloch or any other exiled one of their kind).
