Sometimes it's fun to high the high end of the power scale and play with world-altering forces. To that end, I've begun planning a DVR 0 or 1 campaign for a party of 6-8 in which some terrible situation neccesitates divine intervention. The chosen medium for this intervention is a party of experienced adventurers suddenly elevated to divine status. I have several questions: 1. Is there any existing campaign material for epic/divine challenges which I could use, adapt, and my my own? 2. As odd as it may seem, I'd like to limit the cheese factor while allowing creativity. Is that even possible with an epic level campaign? Note: I'm not saying I want to limit power, only cheese like infinite damage combos and such. 3. What do you think an appropriate challenge for 7/8 demigods would be? I'm thinking that I will let them start at 21 so they all qualify right away for epic level feats and abilities, and could have 1 level in an epic class if they went with a full 20 of a base class. Each will recieve DVR 0 with a quest at the beginning which will, at the end, grant DVR 1 and, through some action or inaction on their part, kick off the apocalypse. I need to choose the specific apocalypse with which to afflict my world, and how to go about the whole thing. Its ambitious, but I want this to be fun and what's more fun that playing with world-altering abilities? Thoughts? |

The Eder Titan, Anaxim, Atrophal, Hecatoncheires,Xixecal, Devastation Vermin, Epic Dragons, Phaethon and other's would cause problems for low level godlings. 2. You'll want to becareful about which if anysalient abilities. Life, Death, Alter reality to name a few should be no no's if you want your players challenged. 3. The gods are great at having somebody else do their dirty work so your pc's could be their champions of sort. Tougher than mere mortals but powerful to tackle the challenge. Good Luck |

Graz'zt sets up Demogorgan and Orcus to kill each other, while he takes over and sends most of his abyssal army with all the Devils - remember Lord of the Nine - to Heaven. The Blood War is over - the Evil Powers & the Good Powers are shaking in their collective boots as the all the endless armies of Evil march on Heaven. Campaign - restart the blood war somehow before Heaven's Gates fall... Many possibilities - lots of Role Playing as the characters meet different various powers - learn secrets & get relics, etc... Plots within plots... My favorite actually. |
