All right. Let's see if I get this right, because it keeps annoying me.

DR 1 God casts charm monster on DR 10 God. DR 10 god is Immune.
DR 10 God casts charm monster on DR 1 God. DR 1 god is affected.
DR 10 God casts charm monster on DR 1 God with a ring of mind blank on. DR 1 god isn't affected.
DR 10 God casts charm monster on human with a ring of mind blank on. Human isn't affected.

Now, am I the only one who finds it wierd that:

A) Gods apparently can't bypass mortal immunities. A DR 20 God of Tyranny can't Dominate Person your average level 1 cleric with protection from evil on. He can kill him like a bug. But can't use his portfolio powers, domain abilities, or his SDAs (like, say Divine Inspiration, or Divine Glibness), if they're mind-affecting.

and

B) Lower DR gods can bypass the whole "higher DR gods own you" clause with a few magic items (which, of course, none carry, according to Deities and Demigods)?

And this demonstrates yet another reason why gods shouldn't have stats.

You COULD go with that. Or do it my way:

DR10 god casts charm monster on human who is in possession of a ring of mind blank, human is affected.

A diety of higher power ALWAYS overpowers a diety of lower ranking. Mortals count as negative level dieties for that purpose. I like my gods having nearly ultimate power, not power with many limits.

Yes the god of tyranny can dominate that lvl 1 cleric;Mortal magic can't stand up to divinty that ring would shatter or not fuction at all

and I'd rule that the god of tyranny need only to use a rank check to disable or distort that ring in which case DR 1 is screwed royally

I like turalisj's reason better though

Amusingly enough, I actually covered that in my initial post.

Mortal gets pwned by Dr1 god, DR1 god gets pwned by Dr10 god, DR10 god gets pwned by DR20 god, etc.

In the end, there is only Pun-Pun.

Even then, wrong. Before Pun-pun is born, the gods make his parents infertile. :P

You could have them make rank check against one another to see if their immunities are overcome or not.

I got this from Project Dicefreaks

Rank Checks: When making a rank check against another deity or a cosmic entity, a deity (or cosmic entity) adds her divine rank as well as a +4 strata bonus for every divine strata which she is higher than her opponent. The different strata are quasideity, demigod, lesser deity, intermediate deity, greater deity, and overdeity.
For example, if a rank 9 lesser deity and a rank 12 intermediate deity were to make opposed rank checks, the lesser deity would roll 1d20+9 (base 9) and the intermediate deity would roll 1d20+16 (base 12 + 4 strata bonus). If a rank 18 greater deity were to make a check against a rank 5 demigod, the greater deity would roll 1d20+30 (base 18 + 12 strata bonus) and the demigod would roll 1d20+5 (base 5).
Intermediate and greater deities do not maximize rank check rolls.

A rank check was something we instituted to allow better divine interaction with each other. This way, Gruumsh doesn't need to be DvR 19 in order to have any real fight with CL. (According to their stats, CL should have taken off Gruumsh's head, not just his eye)

So a DvR 5 (demigod) rolling a rank check against a DvR 6 (lesser god) rolls a 1d20 + 5, and the lesser god rolls a 1d20 + 10. A DvR 10 (lesser god) rolling against a DvR 20 (greater god) rolls a 1d20 + 10 vs a 1d20 + 28.

But Gruumsh (DvR 16, greater) vs Corellon (DvR 19, greater) would roll 1d20 + 16 vs 1d20 + 19. CL still has the advantage, but it isn't an absolute immunity.
