This deity lives in a dreadful court in the uttermost depths of space, accompanied by many larvae of the Other Gods and often lesser gods. Cults that worship a particular form of Nyarlathotep often use the image of that form or avatar as a symbol. Just a big lizard god, isn't he? The Beings of Ib worshipped him, did they not? Well, I *guess* the Ib beings weren't necessarily evil. It depends on how you take the story - were the Sarnath people justified in killing the (evil) frog-guys and they just took revenge, or were they punished for unjustly killing the (non-evil) frog guys? I always wanted to make them evil, and maybe link them with the (almost certainly evil) Nameless City lizard-guys, but whatever.
