i am running an elemental-evil-based campaign, and I don't have Deities and demigods, so i was wondering-
are there holy symbols for the princes of elemental evil(i.e., Olhydra, Imix, etc.)
if so where can i get them? :plotting: oh yessssss, it will be mine . . . .the grail . . . . .:evillaugh

Where there is divine magic, there is holy symbols -- at least as far as I know. Although I do not know any official symbols for the princes, I would say that their respective elements should work well as holy symbols when you pray to them.
If you have the Planar Handbook you could use pure elements (p. 77).

hi. :) when we wrote "Princes of Elemental Evil" for Dragon #347 (and its companion piece, "Princes of Elemental Good" in Dragon #353"), we did not include information on using traditional holy symbols with them. however, each god does have it's own personal sigil, which i can only assume could be inscribed upon a traditional clerical holy symbol.

Well, MM4 does include some information on the Princes of Elemental Evil, including the fact that they tend to use as their holy symbols a personalization of the holy symbol of the Elder Elemental Eye. The same book includes other info on Tharizdun, plus the Avatars of Elemental Evil and a few monsters with affiliation to the cult. You may consider it a good buy. It's my only experience with the Elemental Evil plot, but just based on MM4, I love it.

i forgot about that. we finished the first Dragon article before the MM4 came out, so we did not know what was going to be in it and therefore did not incorporate any info from it into the article! :)

I see, the emphasis lies on *evil*, not on *elemental*... :embarrass :D

First, I don't think the Elemental Princes are actual gods. However, if you want something that should tie in to the RtToEE, then check it out and use the symbols they have on one of the last pages.

You could use the runes/symbols for the respective material:

They have god bosses - in FR, they are called Kossuth, Grumbar, Akadi and I forgot the water one ^^; Someone told me that they exist also in base, Grehawkian D&D also. Not sure.

Istishia.

they were originally used in base D&D prior to 3rd edition, but that kind of fell out of style and they're pretty much just FR gods now.

Well, thank you. They still can work in his campaign - they are pretty much generic and mysterious... the only one with a significat part is Kossuth, who have a part in Thay's history.

Oops? Really? :embarrass My bad.

Hmmm. Wikipedia should cover the basics. I believe they're in the 2E Faiths & Avatars. Also

Therapist: "So Scott. What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Scott Evil: "I don't know. An Elemental Prince."

Dr. Evil: "An Evil Elemental Prince?"

Scott Evil: "See? You're doing it again!"

Dr. Evil: "What?"
