Giants and their Deities [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-22-07, 02:23 AM I know several giant deities out there; there's a bloke named Annam, and there's Grolantor, etc. I need to know what Giant deities there are, what alignment they are of and what domains they grant. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance :)

Can anybody help? Thanks in advance :)Can't go wrong with Norse mythology. Thrym is God of the Frost Giants- he is a chaotic evil deity who grants the chaos, earth, evil, strength, and war domains. His Fire Giant counterpart is Surtur- a lawful evil deity who grants the evil, fire, law, strength, and war domains. I should know, I killed both of them (in our world :D ).

06-22-07, 02:05 PM Many frost giants also pay tribute to Kostschie (spelling?) the demon prince of wrath, living in the Iron wastes (abyss) He is a huge malformed demonic frost giant notoriously known for his bad temper even in the abyss, of course he is Chaotic Evil

edit : his clerics have access to domains like fury, winter, and the others I dont remember by heart, must be something like demonic, evil, chaos, stuff like that. If you dont have access to the WINTER domain you can just replace it with the WAR domain. The favored weapon is the MAUL since the demon prince himself wields a huge icy burst maul.

If I forget any, I'll come back and update this later, but here's what I remember off the top of my head:

Annam (TN) (Knowledge, Magic, Plant, Sun)
Diancastra (CN)
Grolantor (CE) (Chaos, Death, Earth, Evil)
Hiatea (NG)
Iallanis (CG) (Animal, Plant, Good, Sun)
Karontor (NE)
Memnor (NE) (Death, Evil, Trickery)
Skoraeus Stonebones (N)
Stronmaus (CG) (Chaos, Good, Protection, War, Weather)

The Domains provided are from Complete Divine....the alignment for Stronmaus may be listed differently elsewhere. Other sources for giant deity information are Giantcraft (2nd edition), and Monster Mythology (2nd edition), as well as some information in one of the 3rd edition FR books. I also think there's a web supplement detailing them as well.
