Heres a diety/titan im puting in my campaign world and would like to know what you guys think of it. Enjoy.

Melith, The Fallen Mother
Neutral Good
Portfolio: Community, Beauty (inner beauty), Courage and Monsters.
Domains: Protection, Community, Courage and any race domain of the worshiper.
Favored Weapon, Great Axe.

Melith: Titan of Courage, motherhood and beauty. These are not usually in the portfolio of the god of orcs, goblinoids and many other monsters. After creation, when the titans started to take on portfolios and races to look after, Melith was looking around and noticed that no had taken the hobgoblins of the local area. When she asked the other titans why no one wanted to look after such energetic and clever creatures, they simply laughed at her as if she had just told a joke. Why didn't anyone else she the potential that she did, so with that she put them under her protection. When word spread that she had taken on the hobgoblins under her charge, a tribe of orcs came to her pleading that she take their race as well, “No one will take us!” they cried. She did not hesitate to take them in with loving arms.

Then when word further spread that she had also taken in the orc race, goblins came to her, then orges, then trolls and it continued till she had found herself with hundreds of races looking to her. She gathered them all up in her arms, like the infant races that they were, and told them that she had taken them all in but she could not be with everyone at the same time. That from that point on all that were under her charge were family, one tribe, and if one was lost or in need of aid, that looking to your family was the same as looking to her. The races under her charge tried to understand the best they could and did as she asked, but as any child that does not receive attention as much as they would like, they still acted wild and more independent compared to many of the other more closely watched over races.

Melith strived to find hospitipale land for her new adopted children but found herself being stopped at every turn by the other titans taking the best land and resources for their own charges. Many of the titans, especially Wee Jas who found her children disgusting and Hextor that thought them as only play things he could use against his brother, saw her attempts with hostility and wanting the wild races to have nothing. They plotted and had her and her children banished the the rocky and hostile southern continent. Even her own husband Alexen demanded she take he “animals” away. She pleaded with him to help her, but he had already been poisoned by Wee Jas’s sharp tongue. For what he saw as a betrayal on her part for taking in such beasts, he cut out her left eye leaving a scar from her left forehead to cheek.

With a heavy heart, she took her children to the barren continent and wept for seventy days, some say that what caused the giant canal between the two continents. She did not know how to teach her children how to survive in such a harsh wilderness, but the need was answered by her own children. Hobgoblins did not know how to build portable homes to be nomadic or see the signs of nature, so they asked their orc brethren for help. The orcs helped them and taught them about the nature, but the orcs themselves did not know how to forge weapons and strong tools of steal, so the hobgoblins showed them. The the orges did not know how grow their own food, so they asked the goblins and in turn they showed the goblins how to work stone into buildings. When Melith stopped her weeping and looked to see what her children had done, she asked them to teach her the same and she would show them how to channel the divine and arcane energies of the universe.

Unlike the other races who were given everything and shown everything as by higher powers, the races under the Melith taught each other earned what they learned. Melith, under the teachings of her children, became a very able ranger and warrior in little time. Skills she would need when she had to face her former husband in his mad bid for worldly prefection.

When Alexen, driven mad by Wee Jas, started to amass an army to destroy her and her new family, he was not quite about it. Giving the hobgoblin weapon masters enough time to forge her a powerful axe, the orcs enough time to to use the power of the wild to enchant it and the ogre magi enough time to show her how to use all of its powers. In her battle with the man she still loved, she struck him down, but did not have the heart to kill him. She turned her back to him, the hardest thing she had ever done. In his rage of his embarrassment, he ran her through with his sword from behind, the most honorable act he had ever committed. He not only acted as a coward, he had killed the woman he loved. Melith laid dieting in his arms, but cried not tears of sorrow or pain, but of joy. Her love had finally come to his senseces, she forgave him and asked him to look after those that she had. She gave him the axe forged by her children, Dreadnought. After that, she passed, and Alexen stayed on his knees next to her body for three days, not moving in the very slightest.

He never appeared again in any northern mythos after that. The races that were under her charge refer to her as the fallen mother now, many old grudges against the northern churches to modern day, but most abide to the fallen last wish for redemption for her husband. The Fallen mothers domains include protection, nature, courage and community. Her favored weapon in a great axe.

Ok looking back, might be a little too long for most people to want to read. I know I have been turned off by long posts before, I swear I didnt know it was going to be this long.

I think it's a cool idea. But if she's DEAD, how would she affect anything? Is she granting spells from the afterlife of the gods? I don't get it.

I know I have been turned off by long posts before, I swear I didnt know it was going to be this long. It's not the length that bothers me, it's the total lack of paragraphs... Large unbroken text blocks make my head hurt. Just put a few spaces in it, please....
