| Filurmanden01-23-08, 11:23 AM | One of my players just recently turned evil Hextor blackguard from Pelor Paladin, and he has been killing diffirent clerics of other good aligned gods, and he actually tricked a Heironous cleric to summon a hound archon whose blood the blackguard needed. So he pretty much ****** a couple of gods off. Until now the gods have not intervened. But in a few sessions the players will meet the gods because they are part of legend group that has to defeat Tharizdun, because the gods in my world cant get near Tharizdun, or they will get insane. My problem comes forth now: How shall I roleplay the offended gods(and Hextor), when the PC blackguard come to "heaven/themeetingplaceforgods"? Do you think they would kill the player, or would Hextor protect him? Or could they put a curse on him or something? And how will Pelor act when his fallen paladin suddenly shows up? The PCs are by now no match for the gods (lvl 15)......please help me! |

The PCs are by now no match for the gods (lvl 15)......please help me! I'd say have Hextor take him aside and let him know that he will be protected for now, because he is still useful to Hextor, but that he'd better continue to prove loyal. Then have Pelor and the rest think it's just a random blackguard, and have Hextor not interact much during the meeting as if he's using a lot of his power to prevent the gods from noticing the blackguard. That'll let them survive the meeting, at least. After the meeting is over, I'd have Hextor let the blackguard know that all bets are off and that the other gods know now, so watch out for bunches of paladins. That way the player doesn't feel like he's under special DM protection or something, and it lets you include some plot hooks when the paladins come calling. Hope that helps. |

But im just mentioning something here, the reason that im afraid to show consequences, is that the PCs have to collect the 5 parts of The Great Wheel of Order to defeat Tharizdun, and the PC blackguard has managed to persuade the others to let him hold the 2 pieces they have found, and he has hid it on a very special location. :( But just keep posting you others.... |

Is the evil PC outplaying (and frightening) the DM, and about to reach godhood? |
