| celestialkin01-29-08, 12:12 AM | I was hoping you guys could help me track down some stat/rules/information/whatever relating to Vorel (Io's third child killed by Tiamat to blame it on Bahamut and win Io's favor.). I like the idea of him/her, and I want to incorporate him/her into my campaign world in a big way. I figure that I could justify it by saying that Io being Io could have probably brought her/him back. And since Tiamat is weaker than Bahamut (Bahamut is Greater power level and Tiamat is Intermediate power level) I could say that to revive Vorel Io extracted a portion of Tiamat's divinity and used it to bring Vorel back (So both Tiamat and Bahamut were originally Greater level, but now Bahamut is Greater, Tiamat is Intermediate, and I guess Vorel would be lesser). Sadly I do not have the skill or experience to write up my own deity, so I was hoping something (preferably official) might already exist. Plus I feel something I would make would not do justice to this deity, and would probably be lacking compared to the legendary and extremely well known Tiamat and Bahamut from am player's perspective. If nothing exists any more information about Vorel would be appreciated. So far all I know about this deity is the fluff in Races of the Dragon, but I believe it doesn't even mention what gender Vorel was. :( As always, any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I think I mentioned him in the Tiamat entry in the last printed issue of Dragon. But that was just a reference to the RotD mention, which as you said was the original source. |

| celestialkin01-29-08, 02:04 AM | Oh, I see. What a shame. Either way thanks for the information guys. On a related note, do you guys thinks Vorel could have been that long lost sister of Tiamat in the Dragon Compendium who created the Orange, Purple, and Yellow dragons before Tiamat whacked her off? Or did Tiamat have a killing spree on her siblings? If I were to try writing her up could I post it here to get some critique and help cleaning it up and fleshing it up? I think I mentioned him in the Tiamat entry in the last printed issue of Dragon. But that was just a reference to the RotD mention, which as you said was the original source. That was you? Cool now I get the chance to personally tell a writer about how much I loved their work. I loved reading that issue. Sadly it was a friend's, since I was not able to buy one before my entire area sold out. :( |

Any new fluff is someone's homebrew interpretation of Vorel, but I like it. Go Vorel! Also, this is another way to explain why Vorel wasn't raised: she had already become a vestige. |
