| Cobra_Commander09-30-07, 03:17 AM | I was looking for some information on St. Cuthbert (duh). Simple things. background information, maybe some Holy Celebrations/Day? If this isn't possibly, some suggestions for Holy Celebrations, or days would be ideal as well... Do LN even celebrate holy days? I really wouldn't mind spitballing some ideas with anyone, so by all means, drop a post and lets get brainstorming? COOOBBBRRRAAA!!!! |

But it doesn't really provide much information on the mortal side of the religion. Currently I've been mostly referring to Defenders of the Faith For information about alignment based churches, and their overall layout and inner workings. Although the book is outdated, it gives more information on it then any other book I've looked through, I have Deities and Demigods and I expected to get a good page of information on Cuthbert, but instead a half paragraph or two. So, it looks like I'll be building this religious organization from the ground up. Unless theirs some other supplement book I haven't heard about yet? COOOBBBRRRAAA!!!! |

Holidays of St. Cuthbert's church include: Saint Cuthbert's Day (on the spring equinox, his worshipers gather outside town and march in a procession, chanting, singing, and allowing children to beat them with switches in order to cleanse them of their sins, until they reach the temple or shrine. Then there is a feast and a bonfire that the faithful believe cleanses them of curses).' Breadgiving Day (on the winter solstice, a day devoted to feeding, preaching to, and trying to convert the hungry, celebrated with other good-leaning faiths). |
