Info on the lesser known demon lords? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-15-07, 12:23 AM Fiendish Codex 1 has a rather exhaustive (or so I would like to believe) list of all the demon lords in the Abyss. Where can I find info on some of the more esoteric ones, like Ma Yuan, Alzrius and the Queen of Mariliths? Google is not being cooperative these days...:(

07-15-07, 02:33 AM Ma Yuan originally appeared in 1e Deities and Demigods (and that seems to be his actual original, since outside of a chinese general of the same name, there's no real world parallel in myth).

Alzrius appears in "Hellbound: The Blood War", and some material on him has been written up over on Planewalker as part of the work fleshing out the harmonium world of Ortho.

As for Shaktari, the only thing featuring her outside of FC:I that I'm aware of was an adventure in Dungeon #60.

Likewise for Alzrius. Google keeps directing me to some poster from Enworld called Alzrius....:P I don't need specific stats and the like, but a rough idea of their goals, powers and appearance sure would help.:)

Just the latter. They haven't been statted.

No one knows. Creating them as advanced version of their species wouldn't be a bad idea, though. Shaktari is a marilith of gargantuan proportions, with flaming red eyes and skin of blackest night. She supposedly devours all that she sees, although she spends most of her time 'sleeping' in the crimson oceans of her realm. Kardum was once a balor until he betrayed and imprisoned his master Antisif, seizing his layer for himself.

I've met ENWorld's Alzrius; he seems like a nice guy. Anyway, the demon Alzrius resembles a dancing tongue of fire. His main thing is that he infuses his servants with fire made from his own body, which gives them unnamed powers but allows him to burn them to death if they fail him.

Most of the lesser known demon lords mentioned in FC1 have few if any details on them.
