Ohtar Turinson 04-04-07, 11:28 AM	Other than a short entry in Faces of Evil, what information is there about the Night Hags? I'm especially interested in the creation of Altraloths and in the organization of Coveys of hags, but anything people can tell me would be great.

Descriptions of the currently known Altraloths and the process used to create them can be found in Dragon Annual #2. June or July of Dragon I think, had the Ecology of the Night had, if I remember correctly. This year's July issue had an "Ecology of the Annis Hag" article. Dragon #324 (Oct 2004) has the "Ecology of the Night Hag" article. The only other sources I can think of are the Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix I and the various editions of Monster Manual that the night hag appears in.
ripvanwormer 04-04-07, 02:54 PM	"Pox of the Planes" by Ed Bonny in the Dragon Magazine Annual #2 was the article that described the creation of altraloths and the role of night hags in the lower planar economy. "The Ecology of the Night Hag" in Dragon #324 was good too, but covered completely different ground, and didn't mention altraloths. There was a very different take on the ecology of night hags in "The Ecology of the Greenhag" in Dragon #125. I mention it only for the sake of completeness. Yet another take on hags and night hags can be found in Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium, Volume III.
