| Temmogen04-18-07, 05:01 PM | What would happen if all the gears in Mechanus stopped? Any suggestions would be helpful. Right now, I have some of the smaller outer-most gears stopped, and they rusted and crumbled. But what if they all stopped at the same time? |
| Zenogias04-18-07, 05:04 PM | If they all stop, rust and crumble, then everything you know, everything you have ever loved.....will be converted into Pee Wee's Playhouse |
| Rickiel04-18-07, 05:04 PM | Disaster. It's an almost unthinkable act. Almost. Truly something vile must be going on! |
| ripvanwormer04-18-07, 05:38 PM | It's been suggested that the gears of Mechanus make the entire multiverse turn. Perhaps time itself would end. |
| RealSorceror04-19-07, 11:04 AM | Hey! My personal plane is gonna be on Mechanus! If you nuke it, my god of Engines and Cities will be totally POed! Hes a giant clockwork mecha, you better not make him mad! ;) |
| Yaeri04-19-07, 03:14 PM | Primus' bathtub stops making bubbles? |
| MCage04-19-07, 04:24 PM | The Modrons would just get out and push |
| Frylord04-19-07, 04:31 PM | If the gears stop, most likely all of reality in D&D goes 'splody. That's my personal opinion, at least. |
| obrysii04-19-07, 04:39 PM | What happens if the fires of the Elemental Plane of Fire are quenched? Just that one particular plane would be destroyed. Aren't they all separate entities? |
| Raymond_Luxury_Yacht04-19-07, 05:11 PM | What happens if the fires of the Elemental Plane of Fire are quenched? The Material Plane would fall apart. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-19-07, 06:21 PM | If each gear of Mechanus represents a cosmic law, or it's all a big multiversal machine, then nothing would be functioning or orderly. Law would become Chaos, and everything would go to Hell, except that it wouldn't be Hell. |
| Bob the Efreet04-19-07, 06:41 PM | What happens if the fires of the Elemental Plane of Fire are quenched? Fimbulwinter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fimbulwinter). All fire everywhere in the multiverse would disappear. |
| Dracomortis04-19-07, 07:39 PM | Given the mentality of Mechanus, a new race of inevitables dedicated solely to ensuring that the gears of Mechanus continually turn would probably come into being, physically pushing the gears if necessary. |
| Thrushfeather04-19-07, 08:22 PM | Interesting Adventure Idea: The Adventurers encounter a Nigh-Unbeatable Wizard who seems to have a Very literal grasp of Altering the Pysical Laws of the Multi-Verse. The PCs must go to mechanus and Stop the "Rogue Gear" that allows the particular manifestation to occur in reality. Thus stoping the wizard, but puting a chain reaction in to effect (all the gears are connected ya know) and watch as they desperately try to restore the Laws of the universe as they slowly crumble into an Anialated abyss of madness and entropy. Yep, its gonna be a good day when that gear governing the Stong Interparticle Force dicides to stop moveing. Sub Adventure: Maybe a matrix style thing. Mechanus is a Giant calculator put to work by some long forgotten Meta-Deity, to difine the world and everything in it as a predisposed algorithum, defineing everything. The Equation is reaching completion, and Mechanus will stop soon. The only thing not yet accounted for is the remainder, i.e. that Force governing Entropy, and free will. |
| Yaeri04-20-07, 01:14 PM | The players have to travel to the main gear in Mechanus and open a gateway to the pseudo-elemental plane of oil, to grease the gears up again. Then they have to find Primus' car to kick-start (jump-start? spark-start? Enlighten me.) the main gear. |
| TwiddleStootch04-20-07, 02:39 PM | Then they have to find Primus' car to kick-start (jump-start? spark-start? Enlighten me.) the main gear. I believe the term is Jump-Start :D I am partial to the idea that all laws of reality would seas to exist, and pretty much everything would become akin to Limbo, utter Chaos. |
