OK, does anyone know the stats for Mephistopheles, as a deity? I ask because I started reading a comic, set in the D&D world, where I'm pretty sure the main character is a Barbarian/Cleric of Mephistopheles, who has been tasked to reclaim the Regalia of Evil. The rest of the party is a (pretty sure human) ranger with Sladii as their Favored Enemy, a Half-Dragon Cleric of hextor, and a Drow fighter.

www.darkencomic.com is the address, if you want to check it out to confirm my beliefs.

EDIT: ok, correction. He's not a barbarian, he's a cleric/fighter, with a low wis.
Exhibit A: "Yes! Bigger swords! Sounds like a good start!"
Exhibit B: "It's not my fault that heavier armor is better armor..."

Demon lords and archdevils are not actually deities; they are just divine proxies that people worship that lead to some other source where they get spells and such from. BoVD talks about this briefly, and so does FCI/II, I think.

Of course, the big Meph's stats are in those books, as well.

An avatar's stats at least.

I think you've got the characters pretty wrong.

Gort seems to be a fighter, not a cleric/fighter or barbarian/cleric. His power of shooting hellfire is given to him by his virtue of being a Disciple of Meph, not spells.

Casper seems to be a rogue, not a ranger. A ranger who focused on fighting slaadi would have Favored Enemy of Outsider (chaotic), by the way.

Komi seems to be a ranger on the other hand, rather than a fighter. Especially considering how he is a semi-Drizzt clone, his dual-wielding.
