In the grand tradition of that Australian jackass Cowell, I hereby present a modern marvel of female objectification: the Miss Multiverse pageant 2007. Our goal: to determine by popular consensus just who is the most attractive female in the Great Wheel. Beyond such obvious contenders as Fierna and Malcanthet, the competition is open to any female applicant, provided they meet and follow the rules and criteria below:

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a corporeal aberration, dragon, elemental, fey, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, outsider, or undead with Intelligence 3 or higher and, if mortal, of at least young adult age.

MAGIC USE: All spells, powers, magic and psionic items, soulmelds, invocations, vestiges, mysteries, utterances, and other supernatural, spell-like, psi-like or metaphysical effects must be approved by the presiding judge prior to their being employed in the competition in any form or fashion. All glamer and polymorph effects are expressly forbidden. Alter self, disguise self, disguise undead, veil, seeming, deceptive facade, polymorph, polymorph any object, shapechange, metamorphosis, greater metamorphosis, and similar magical and psionic abilities including any effects of the glamer or polymorph subschools or the psychometabolism discipline, will not be permitted. All judges will be provided with a mass true seeing effect provided by an attendant cleric, and the viewing stage will be warded by a brazier of aura revealing (magic). Any unauthorized magical effects or other discrepancies will result in immediate disqualification except in cases of magical compulsion or other forms of extortion or duress, which will require an inquiry made by the presiding legal authorities for the competition's current locality.
NOTE: In cases of a competitor with the Alternate Form ability, allowing them to change between two or three predetermined shapes, the judges may allow an exception to the ban on shapechanging magic. For example, an aranea may compete under her human guise, provided she alerts the judges of her shapechanging status. Creatures such as doppelgangers, changelings, and rakshasas do not qualify for the Alternative Form Provision and must compete in their natural form.

Voting is open to any member of the Wizards of the Coast Online Forum Community. For instructions on when and how to vote, see below:

Voting will commence at 12:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), Wednesday, May 30th, 2007, and will conclude at 11:59 PM (GMT) on Tuesday, June 5th, 2007. Votes are to be posted on this thread, and should include only one candidate for the title. Posts containing multiple votes will be disqualified. You may change your vote up until the deadline, at which point all voting is final. Any voting posts edited after the deadline will be disqualified.

If all goes well (and we manage to stay spam-free and on-topic), we can only hope that this becomes an annual community event. If you wish to show your support, please contribute your time, your vote, and any praise or accolades you wish to share.

(I mean heck, beyond that, just look at the avatar picture...)

"I'll nominate the following for the "Also-Ran" catagory, since they can't be so lucky as to be me." :

Lady Lynkhab the Abyssal Lord of Desire and Self-Destructive Thought - "Hot but a bit too emo for my tastes. Plus it never puts a date off on the right foot when she keeps asking you to kill her. Too much emotional baggage."

Larsdana Apt Neut - "Not bad in her day, but she's a bit too old and hopelessly out of style now. I think she got knocked up and then pretty much dropped out of sight."

Taba - "She can look pretty, but I've seen her natural form. There's a reason she didn't get a date to the prom back in highschool when we held the prom in an antimagic field."

Fierna - "Kinda cute, but she has that wierd daddy complex thing going on. Creeps me out."

Bensozia - "Good enough for Asmodeus. But she's dead. Too bad, so sad."

Well, I'm going to nominate and vote for my lovely wife Mitsuko. I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but trust me she's adorable. She's a Greater Deity(DR 20), Astral Deva of the Crane clan. She's a goddess of beauty, pleasure, and love- like anyone descended from Doji couldn't be gorgeous. She usually wears the kimono of a Crane samurai-ko. She has long blonde (or white depending on her current mood) hair, deep blue eyes, a perfect smile, beautiful golden wings, and most importantly she puts up with my deital Dwarven nonsense on a daily basis. She's also the mother of our six children- the Wizards of the Coast might not think outsiders qualify for the dwarven stoneblessed prestige class, but the minute a girl starts having Dwarven babies, she's ok by me.:D She does have that supernatural change shape ability that all Astral Devas have, but she doesn't need it. Her Charisma score is a whopping 74 (The Divine Array (35)+Astral Deva racial mods(12)+Character level mods(9)+Tomes(5)+Divine Rank(13)), which puts her closer to twice the charisma of Aphrodite. Her levels in epic Iaijutsu Master also help keep me in line. I would fight back; but being a normal character, and her being Rokugani, I don't stand a chance- besides, I'm distracted by the cuteness.;)

05-30-07, 08:59 PM
I'm not entirely sure if you are allowing homebrew but here we go anyway.

I, Sorcen Anenooata, nominate my wife, queen of Baator (in my campaign world), Aya Anenooata. Details follow:

Aya Vampris - Wife of Sorcen, Queen of the Baator, Goddess of Evil Vampires, Ex-Goddess of Good Vampires. Fallen Solar, she still retains her angelic form but the worship of her vampiric constituents has imbued her with the looks and abilities of a vampire herself.

Used to be the goddess of good vampires but found that she could get far more worshipers and power by turning to evil and becoming the patron of evil vampires, so she did and she did gain quite a bit more worshipers and thusly more power.

She is one of the few gods that Sorcen likes and has been crowned his queen to rule Hell by his side. Her appearance is that of a very curvaceous and beautiful female human with long reddish-brown hair, unnaturally white fangs, long black pointed fingernails, and electric green eyes that lure anyone that meets her gaze into a false seduction that ultimately leads to their untimely demise.

Her once brilliant white wings are now speckled with spots that have faded from the ashes of her new home in Hell. She is dressed in a deep blood red satin tank top, a type of pants that resemble a material known as denim (presumably a gift to Sorcen from time-traveling visitors), and inky black boots that seem all too eager to crush the heads of her enemies beneath their dark soles.

This is a reminder to all potential competitors: the rules and regulations will be enforced. We have already confiscated over half a dozen potions of modify mammary, and will continue to enforce the ban by any means necessary. Trust me, we know when they're fake. :D

Can I nominate a nymph? (Doesn't really matter which, but lets call this one... oh, Cara.)

I don't believe the rules discount being so beautiful to human-like eyes its blinding as am illegal act, and how many beings out there can honestly say they can blind you with beauty, and move with so much grace and poise, even weapons and spells don't want to strike them?
Xaxor

05-30-07, 09:55 PM
Well I just have to vote for Lady Shemeska. I've probably forgotten something I owe her, so maybe the vote will make her forget as well. ;)
Yanagita Kunio

05-31-07, 12:57 AM
I nominate Zadara the Titan (source; Faces of Sigil). [Picture anyone?]

Not because I have any interest in her gaining the title, but the resultant festival of horrors likely to play out between she and Shemeska should be popcorn-chomping entertaining.

Xanxost nominates Pistis Sophia, because he likes blue, and Xanxost also nominates Xanxost in a wig that might be an unconcious lupinal, because Xanxost likes blue.

Since deities are "outsiders" I nominate Wee Jas. I love that full face profile in Deities & Demigods. Reminds me of Kate Mulgrew.

Wee Jas will abide by the rules and will not take deific offense if she doesn't win. If deities are actually not permitted she'll bow out gracefully.

I go for old-fashioned grace and dignity, and yes, that wistfully sorrowful expression on her face as she mourns for Sturm, or maybe Silvanoshei (though why I need to blackout who she's mourning for seems unnecessary unless you're a complete newcomer to Dragonlance).

Oh wait, Krynn is no longer part of the Great Wheel. Can Krynnish elves still join? Margareeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Finalization of Contest Venue: The Contest is to be held on June 10th (Earth time) at the Amphitheatrum Aequitarum, located twelve miles from the base of the Spire in the Concordant Domain of the Outlands. The Lady of Pain has issued a temporary waiver lifting the magic-dampening effects of the plane within the boundaries of the auxiliary facilities. The arena floor is still under the effects of divine annulment, however, preventing any magical or psionic effects from occuring there.

In the future, the Miss Multiverse Foundation hopes to acquire a demiplane specifically for the competition, one with the following traits:

Normal Gravity
Timeless: Hunger, thirst, aging, poison, disease, and menstruation are all suspended within the demiplane
Finite Size: The demiplane resembles a palatial estate surrounded by a very high fence. Climbing over the fence places one at whichever location is hosting the event.
Alterable Morphic
Minor Positive-Dominant
Mildly Neutral-Aligned
Enhanced Magic: All divination spells are Enlarged, Extended, and Widened, as are all spells that dispel, counter, or disjoin other spells, as well as ghost trap and illusion purge
Impeded Magic: All spells are impeded, requiring a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell level) to cast. Divination spells have a DC 10 lower than normal, while Illusion and Transmutation spells have a DC 10 higher than normal.
The demiplane will feature two portals, both of which will be two-way and will link to the same destination, which may be changed by the administration to coincide with the chosen venue for the event. One portal will be located at the main gates at the front of the estate, while another will be located in the Reception Center to the left of the Lobby. Whichever portal that is chosen to link to the plane becomes selective, sending most travelers to the main gates, while all those with the shapechanger or living construct subtypes or with a natural shapeshifting ability are shunted into the Reception Center to the right of the Lobby. Travelers attempting to enter the plane via plane shift, greater plane shift, or similar magic must succeed at a Spellcraft check (DC 35, or 25 for greater plane shift) or be deposited in the Reception Center to the right of the Lobby, regardless of where they intended to travel.

NOTE: Incorporeal applicants are now eligible to compete; the attendant wizard will provide sufficient usage of ghost trap to enable them to compete in the same capacity as corporeal contestants. Constructs remain ineligible to compete, unless they have been incarnated and the judges provided with prior notification of their former construct status.

The eligibility says nothing about the gender of the applicant. Nor do I think "Miss Multiverse" is a necessary sexual distinction -- I feel it is more like a state of mind.

Wee Jas asks if she can have an Avatar of her attend as opposed to herself personally. It's still "her", but unfortunately planar "politics" interferes even this most innocuos of endeavors such that she cannot leave herself so vulnerable. She knows of a similar contest where a contestant was "booed" only because of politics of her homeland. Who knows what could happen when the entire multiverse is involved.

Hello all, its nice to see that so many people are voting for little me. I was surprized when my hubby told me that I was on here. *bows* I really appreciate this and feel very honored.

As for a picture, one is on its way. There are so many and I just can't choose. Believe me, my husband has already given me grip about being so indecisive. But this is a big deal. *smiles cutely*

So without keeping you for to much longer. I would like to vote for myself if at all possible.

Oh and RealSorceror, I am well rather honored that you would find me attractive when flustered but I wouldn't let my hubby know about that. *giggles*

To you TurnCloak_Kobold, I would not harm you if you chose another. After all, if you didn't think that I was up for this, then you should pick someone who is.

Wow. I like the red-haired one.

Oh, I'm sure that can be arranged, Ping. We do miss your castrato drunken stuper and bewildered sentence fragments every time we find ourselves in a new bar, or anywhere else for that matter. Well, I didn't get to watch the thread much today, I was too busy watching my son pop Marruspawn Abomination Half-Tarrasque Weretarrasques in hybrid form. I think he was slightly upset when he heard that they were slightly stronger than he was; Junior is a god of strength, after all. Anyhoosen, after he cleaned the entrails off, my little hellion asked how his mother's run for Miss Multiverse 2007 was going. I think everything is running quite smoothly. I'm probably going to post Mitsuko's stats in my next message. Due to a slight dissagreement with Wizards of the Coast, but with much respect:), outsiders in Mitsuko's campaign setting are only immune to the ill-effects of aging. She is technically already venerable, as a reincarnated human, and has a +3 to her mental stats (making that nice charisma score I posted earlier a total 77). In any event, thanks to everyone for voting for my lovely wife. She might be polite and shy about this, but tact is not a virtue of our clan. Mitsuko is my inspiration, and she is the paragon of everything great in our culture. I could not think of a better representative of the perfect woman (celestial, dwarf, human, or otherwise). We are all very proud of her, win or lose.:D

This Champion of Kord

My vote is for the Champion of Kord.

I was going to nominate that buxom halfling rogue from the cover of an old Dragon magazine (yes, it is the one you're thinking of), but I can't seem to find a picture of the cover.

By the way, Qwicksilver, is there any possibility you could direct me toward where you found those pictures? They're fantastic!

Vote for Shemeska!

Shemeska offers you her protection.

Later today we'll be having a pinata made in the likeness of Mitsuko (who I believe has an overwhelming number of votes so far) stuffed with candy, gold pieces, and maybe a wonderous item or two, hanging in the quad. Come on down and bring your quarter staves, your maces, your morningstars, and your greatclubs and have a blast!

Remember that its not always what you say, but how you say it. I don't appreciate the comment about my wife, she never threatened anyone in the competition- if they feel threatened, thats their own business. I think its awesome that she's still in the running. In fact, I'm wondering if the online community could assist her more. If you believe in the powers of good, the way of the crane (calling all Kakitas;) ), the empire of Rokugan, the might of the Dwarves, paladins, knights, chivalry, or just really sexy angel women- then I think you should vote for my wife, Lady Mitsuko.

As promised, here are her stats. I read the competition requirements again, and I believe that magic ban only applies to form altering magic, or pretty much anything that boosts social skills or appearence in any way.I took all of her social or charisma enhancing items off, but others still remain. If this is unacceptable for the competition; let me know, I'll remove them too. If anyone should want to use Mitsuko in their campaigns, I removed a Coutier's Obi, +12 Cloak of Epic Charisma, and Biwa of Kakita.

Finalists: The top fifteen finalists in the online polls will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the contest venue in the Outlands, where they will compete in a variety of events designed to test their talents, personality, and capabilities.

Note: While this event was conceived to be independent of the applicant's personal power, the reality is that contestants of higher CRs tend to have a better chance of winning. Thus, the competition will be broken down by relative power level, as follows:

True Deities:
This category includes all true deities; in this case referring to entities of lesser deity rank or higher, who can manipulate the fabric of divinely morphic planes. This category includes beings such as Venus, Artemis, Freya, Ishtar, Evening Glory, and Sune.

Demigods:
This category includes both true demigods (those with a divine rank of more than 0 but less than six) and entities such as hero-deities, quasi-deities, demon lords, demon princes, archdukes, dukes, demon nobles, abominations, members of the Hebdomad, the five companions, the court of stars, and entities of similar power

Minor Immortals and Exceptional Mortals:
This category includes outsiders such as erinyes and brachinae, fey such as nymphs and glaistigs, and creatures such as adult dragons, beholders, and elans. Also, members of the common races who have achieved exceptional power and ability (are of high to epic character level) and giants, aberrations, and monstrous humanoids with great ability (innate or learned) also fall into this category.

Mortals:
This category includes most members of the common races and the savage humanoids, particularly those with levels in NPC classes or with only a small amount of racial HD or PC class levels.

Details of the event will be posted as they become available.

So... What catagory does Her Serenity come under?
Pitiless_Interfector

06-02-07, 07:26 PM
Can I nominate a nymph? (Doesn't really matter which, but lets call this one... oh, Cara.)

I don't believe the rules discount being so beautiful to human-like eyes its blinding as am illegal act, and how many beings out there can honestly say they can blind you with beauty, and move with so much grace and poise, even weapons and spells don't want to strike them?

Unearthly Beauty and Unearthly Grace are supernatural abilities. For the safety of the judges and spectators, they must be suppressed for the duration of the event. (besides, like I said, magic and psionics don't work on the main stage).

True Deities, if she had chosen to compete. Of course, she finds the affair trite and unimportant, and barely consented to lift the ban on magic that would have made the affair much more difficult to put together.

The Committee at first discussed judicious use of semipermanent energy drain to level the playing field, until we realized that the likeliest offenders were immune to energy drain in any event. We apologize, and look forward to getting your T-shirt wet in front of hordes of drooling fanboys.
