| Mirron02-15-07, 11:47 PM | My DM has just started an encounter with a Moon Goddess, one that is from Dragonlance. But in general, is there anything I should know about dealing with Moon Deities, although the Red Moon Goddess in particular would be helpful, I will take info in general. |
| Anubis.c.k02-17-07, 10:24 AM | she the goddess of magic and is neutral to her 2 brothers |
| leather_book_wizard02-17-07, 10:33 AM | Name is Lunitari, according to The Soulforge her hair is black striped with white. She carries a leather book with her. She is the patron of the Red Robes, along with Illusion and Transmutation magic. |
| Rogue Shadows02-17-07, 10:34 AM | (1) Do not **** off the moon goddess Moon Goddesses typically are associated with magic, insanity, lycanthropy, or alll three. **** her off, and you may find yourself transformed into an obssessive-compulsive werelemming that is Cursed up the wazoo. (2) DO NOT **** OFF THE MOON GODDESS See (1). (3) Do not, under any circumstances, start singing a moon-related song We all love to occasionally sing "Blue Moon" or "That's Amor," but the Moon Goddess has heard it all before and will kill you. Or turn you into the aforementioned werelemming. (4) Don't bring up the Sun God While in some mythologies, the moon and the sun get along famously, in most the moon and sun are seen as direct opposites that hate each other. Mention the Sun God (and it will be a God, if the deity of the moon is a goddess), and you will probably be transformed into the aforementioned werelemming. Or just killed outright. (5) Make sure it's roughly the middle of the month The reasons behind this should be obvious. |
| Mirron02-21-07, 01:13 PM | I forgot about this topic, but I'm in a good mood. Lunitari likes my character, and gave him something. I'm not sure what it is, but hopefully it means my character won't get killed by my team. Unfortunately for the group, aside from me, they all seem to be having problems with her, and I think someone might die, probably the Cleric. |
| leather_book_wizard02-22-07, 05:32 PM | But why would Lunitari kill anyone? She's true neutral. |
| Mirron02-23-07, 11:34 PM | Well, you see, are DM didn't exactly explain that it was Dragonlance. It has made things interesting since we basically have a heathen Cleric who worships Pelor, two Halflings that are spawned by the Graygem, and finally a dimension travelling Psion Elan, which is what I am. Lunitari was annoyed by our Halfling Sorcerer, who was basically groveling at her feet, and agreeing with everything she said. The Cleric, meanwhile, was basically bragging almost about how Pelor was aiding him, which obviously annoyed Lunitari. All in all, this has been an interesting first campaign for me. |

Pelor = Sun God Read above rules! |
| Rogue Shadows02-27-07, 10:25 AM | Rogue Shadow's rules should be followed at all times when near Moon Goddesses to avoid transformation into werelemmings. Trust Rogue Shadows, for he has been there, and had one heck of a time getting out of that mess. |
| Mirron02-27-07, 10:57 AM | Yes, but Pelor doesn't exist, as far as Lunitari is cocerned, doesn't exist, and that is why seh is mad. |
| Rogue Shadows02-27-07, 11:13 AM | So the werelemming thing is inevitable then. Hmm. My advise is then to find a real Sun God, then, and get the two to duke it out while you quietly exit stage left. Ooh! Moon Goddesses also often love children, though. So the other option is, if your character is female, to get pregnant. Then the Moon Goddess will probably leave you alone. If you're male, find soem cute kid and make nice with him or her. The Moon Goddess may leave you alone. If no kids are handy, then... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/50/Lemming.jpg/205px-Lemming.jpg This is you. |
| Mirron02-28-07, 11:00 AM | For now, Lunitari has left. Luckily, I'm on good terms with her, so if she comes back, nothing bad to me should happen. If something bad happens to the others, I might try saving them, even if they got my last character killed. |
