Looking in the MoP it seems that the Olympian part of Arborea has been cut out and the first layer is now just Arvandor. Is this deliberate or an oversight? Where do the Greek Pantheon live now in 3.5

Don't fret, the Olympian pantheon continues to dwell in Arborea. In the Manual of the Planes, the authors only dealt with the 3.x core deities, those detailed in the Player's Handbook. It wasn't just the Greeks, all other real world based pantheons were also left out, as well as pantheons and gods not chosen as core material.

Yeah...when 3.0 first came about....anything that wasn't "core" was left out of the books....this left some ramifications that are still being dealt with today. Things have gotten better. Both Fiendish Codexes discuss dieties from many different pantheons.

Manual of the Planes 3.0 is a good book overall...but we woefully need a new one.

As Ordbyrht said, Olympus is still there, but when the MotP was written the designers were under some harsh creative restrictions (since lifted) that prevented overt discussion of "non-core/Greyhawk" gods. So Loki and his deific domain in Pandemonium are there in the MotP but he's referred to not by name but as "The Trickster", and likewise Pluto's deific domain is there in the Gray Waste but it's only called "The Underworld" and he himself isn't explicitely named.

The Titans are all still there in Carceri, and most recently Fiendish Codex I has included references to members of the Chinese and Vedic pantheons, and Fiendish Codex II has described other "real world" gods including Hecate of the Greek Pantheon and Set of the Egyptian pantheon.

You can get most of the left-out info in the Planescape PDF's.

Awhile back, as I recall, me and some other members came up with a theory. It was postulated that several planar locations were in fact planar 'pathways', notably the Path of Ra and Yggradsil the World Tree. But among our theories was also that Olympus was a planar path; the Underworld was Hades, the 'base' of the mountain, the world of mortals, was the Prime Material Plane, Arborea was the summit, and so forth and so forth.

Actually, I think that's true--you can walk down Mount Olympus from Arborea to Hades. I don't remember which product that's in, though; probably On Hallowed Ground, Planes of Conflict or Planes of Chaos.

The Dieties and Demigods has the Greek pantheon in it. It also has the Norse and Egyptian dieties. It is of course 3.0 but it has them and discusses that they live on Olympus. What specifically are you looking for about it?

The Dieties and Demigods has the Greek pantheon in it. It also has the Norse and Egyptian dieties.

The Greek, Norse, and Egyptian pantheons discussed in 3e D&DG are written without any incorporation of their prior presence in D&D, and it doesn't present them as being within the D&D multiverse. As far as talking about the Greek pantheon in Arborea and elsewhere on the planes, that book is largely devoid of much relevant information.
