I have always wondered this little thing. I have some FR books, and read many hombrew campaigns. The races all have their different cultures, and their languages, but when it comes to religion, the elf god is in the ame pantheon with every single other god in the cosmology, and all of the cosmologies have the same gods.

I've only seen a few campaigns (like Eberron) that have acutally different faiths. I wanna see if anyone else has a campaign with many different faiths. I personally believe that it makes the world more tangible to me and to my players, going to another landscape and having them say "TYou don't worship the Trinity... the Four Flows eh?"

I just want to see if anyone else here has many different religions in their campaign, and maybe a list of the faiths to.

Not really sure what you are asking. In my campaign world I use the Olympian pantheon. Non-human deities are separate and may or may not live on different planes based on their alignment.

In the Forgotten Realms the Elf God (Corellon Larethian) is in the Elf Pantheon (with the other 11 elvish deities) and there is a separate Drow Pantheon, a Dwarf Pantheon, a Gnome Pantheon etc.

We use the Olympian and Norse pantheons on one continent, and separate them similarly to the real world; north and south, though the separation can get blurry in some places.

On the other active continent we use some Norse, some D&D, with those of the Norse being a bit more disenfranchised and treated as uncouth.

On both continents I mix in a lot of mysterious deities I have adapted from mythology/fiction, etc. I don't use any deities connected to race from the D&D pantheons, though. No Corellon, Glittergold, etc. I prefer real mythology when I can get it.

There is always war or at least enmity among certain groups, of course, and sometimes distrust among different faiths, even of the same alignment. That is natural.

Does that fit into what you were asking?
