| 9Point02-29-08, 07:17 AM | Hey. I am interested in running a campaign (extremely high level) in which the characters have control over, and the ability to create and destroy entire planes. Specifically the Astral Plane. I know of the Plane Shifter prestige class and It only gives control over a specific demi plane. I need something more like an artifact of epic spell seed or simply a determined divine rank that is necessary to accomplish this. Page 18 of the manual of the plans indicates that such an artifact might exist, or that a group of demi gods might posses such power. do you know of anything that already exists in a D&D supplement or am I going to have to create something from scratch??? |

That power is beyond what is described for Greater Gods. By any stretch it wouldn't be a game of D&D. Better off creating a new game system. |

My question more specifically is if this item did exist which there is a president for the possibility. Where would it be in your opinion, what kind of object would it be, ie. staff, rod, artifact,(shape, size color description) How would it be activated, who could activate it, what would be the consequences for activating it, what system would it belong to, ie divin, arcane, pact magic, and what other restrictions would be placed on it:confused: ??? I want your most elaborate insane difficult impossible improbably confusing set of circumstances to answer these questions. The harder for the PC the better. |

While the novel puts a little too much power in mortal hands for a usual game of D&D, perhaps a dead hero could start with a nascent plane because he's honored in a small village. He has to expand his cult as well as defend his vision from his own worshippers. A peaceful god who has violence committed by his worshippers might see storms descend on his plane, followed by rivers of blood, perhaps all the ten plagues (or something similar) as his followers twist his doctrine again and again. Of course, a war god might be ticked off if his worshippers begin to obsess over kittens and puppies - the ragged battleworn lands of his plane invaded by cute fluffy animals somehow immune to the blasted environment... |
