| Sorcen_Anenooata04-23-07, 09:31 AM | Heres the Elemental Plane of Fire: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/rs_plane_of_fire.jpg I think the Manual of the Planes say this pic is Carceri but the art gallery says its The Fortress of Indifference in the Abyss- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Fortress_of_Indifference.jpg The Crawling City of Gehenna- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Crawling_City.jpg Thuldanin of Archeron- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Thuldanin.jpg Mechanus- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Cogs_of_Mechanus.jpg Dis of Baator- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Dis.jpg Lunia of Celestia- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MotP/Lunia.jpg I found all those pics in the Manual of the Planes art gallery on the main DnD site. There are more in the Manual of the Planes so short of doing a google image search for each individual plane, your best bet is to get the book. |

Not enough gears turning more gears which in turn turn bigger/smaller gears that turn a gear attached to a piston which rotates another gear. And that's the short version folks! It just seemed a little... empty to me. |

It just seemed a little... empty to me. I had the same problem. It looks just kind of, "well, here's some houses and stuff that happen to be on some gears, also some are at 90 degrees to each other." Not very otherworldly. On the other hand, the image of Lunia is one of my favorites images in the whole of 3.5, though I don't really know why. |
| Rickiel04-23-07, 06:03 PM | That would be because the image of Lunia was SPOT DEAD ON! And it makes me want to bottle water before I go down to the Lower Planes. Lots and lots of bottled water to give to the fiends :D |
| Calmar04-23-07, 06:11 PM | Yeah, the Mechanus image sucks. The Clockwork Nirvana has to be a machine. An endlessly vast machine consisting of cogs, gears and mechanical stuff in all sizes. Back on topic. Here are lots of great links that are mayhap helpful. For the plane of fire I would search for images of lava, vulcanoes and similar hot places and mix it with 1001 Arabian style buildings for the efreets to inhabit. :) http://www.planewalker.com/forums/viewThread.php?intPostID=22518 This one is also not 'official', but beautiful and to me it looks very Planescape-like. If you imagine some more fire, it could be part of the elemental plane (no idea what this Zinsandrian really is). http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40159816/?qo=30&q=by%3Afurgur&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps |

| sciborg205-04-07, 01:32 PM | Go here: http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/exotique_2/?textlink They are nice enough to let you flip the pages online, and some of those pics can be found on other sites. These really are beautiful. |
