| 1337Ninja10-06-07, 05:19 PM | Do they exist? If so, can I have a bit of info about them? |
| goldomark10-06-07, 05:35 PM | I can give you names. Zuoken, he is in the Expended Psionic Hanbook (3.5) Ilsensine, god of the mind flayers, their is a another illithid god, but I can't remember is name. You can find Ilsensine in Lords of Madness and Expended Psionics Handbook both are 3.5 Deep Duerra and Laduguer, gods of the grey dwarfs, look in 2e Demi Human Deities Auppenser, he is a sleeping god of the Forgotten Realms, first seen in Lost Empire (3.5) Most of these gods have a link to psionics but aside from Auppenser, none are really gods of psionics. Hope it helps and that others can give you more gods and info. |
| The Ubbergeek10-06-07, 07:07 PM | Hey, un autre québecois also! :) Well, there is also Sardior, the God of the Gems (neutral and psionic) Dragons. Xan Yae, Zuoken's patron in Greyhawk, is a more meditative and comtemplative god, witha shawdow/night aspect - she is of the Baklunish (middle-eastern) culture. In Eberron, there is a few mental-based religions, the 'flase' Inspired one and the Kalashtar's Path of Light, and something akin to it in the Oriental Adventures's Mahbarata - indianesque free setting offered here. |
| goldomark10-07-07, 04:08 AM | Salut compatriote! I see Sardior as the Diamond Dragon. Like Bahamut is the Platinum Dragon. I guess Tiamat is the Rainbow Dragon |
| The_Shaman10-07-07, 04:12 AM | "I guess Tiamat is the Rainbow Dragon" Methinks someone shall be smitten soon... Goldomark, I feel a spontaneous urge not to be so close to you at the moment. |
| goldomark10-07-07, 04:19 AM | Well do you have anything better then the Chromatic Dragon :) ? |
| GoukaRyuu10-07-07, 08:43 AM | How about the Dragon of Many Colors. |
| 1337Ninja10-07-07, 09:00 AM | Which god has the most levels (or effective levels for dragons) in psion? |
| locustechpriest10-07-07, 09:22 AM | The technicolor dream dragon(...)? |
| The Ubbergeek10-07-07, 09:53 AM | Salut compatriote! I see Sardior as the Diamond Dragon. Like Bahamut is the Platinum Dragon. I guess Tiamat is the Rainbow Dragon Actually, Sardior is the Ruby dragon, I think. :) |
| Omnirahk, half-Rahkshi10-07-07, 10:06 AM | How about the Dragon of Many Colors. I believe I've heard Raz the Rogue Mage/Rickiel refer to Tiamat as the Rainbow Witch. But Sardior's official title is the Ruby Dragon, or else King of the Gem Dragons. |
| goldomark10-07-07, 04:13 PM | Yeah, I know, Sardior is called the Ruby Dragon. But I prefer to see Sardior as the Diamond Dragon. Sardior was created back in 1e (MM I think) and forgotten afterwards. Latter, a ruby dragon made an apparition has a normal gem dragon. It was in Mystara's Monstrous Compendium, 2e. First off, a god of dragonkind cannot share scale color with one of its subjects, their is only one Platinum Dragon after all. It is a unique paragon of its race. Not a more powerful copy of some type of dragons. Secondly, I never thought rubies where noble enough for the god of gem dragons. So, if Sardior's scales aren't ruby anymore, what are they? Diamond is a logical choice. Diamonds are rare, hard, noble, valuable and pure, its a gem that fits the King of Gem Dragons and their are no diamond dragons to my knowledge. As for Tiamat, she is all the colors of her subjects, because their cannot be a better or nobler color. Well white, even if its not a color, could have been that nobler «color». White is all colors at the same time. But white was already taken by the most piteful of dragons. Its fun to imagine stuff :) . |
| General_Ridley10-07-07, 07:20 PM | The other llithid God, Maanzecorian, is dead thanks to Orcus/Tenebrous. yeah. Maanzecorian is no longer a god because he's dead. |
| BadCatMan10-07-07, 10:02 PM | Memnor is a Giant god, of mentalism and mental prowess, domination and control. He's not psionic, but he sounds like he should be, particularly if you use him for Half-Giants. |
| locustechpriest10-08-07, 12:11 AM | Maanzecorian is no longer a god because he's dead. That's not fair. There are plenty of dead gods that still give spells... somehow. |
| 1337Ninja10-08-07, 12:39 AM | Are these gods statted up? |
| BadCatMan10-08-07, 12:55 AM | If you mean official 3.x god-stats, then no. |
| goldomark10-08-07, 01:24 AM | Are these gods statted up? For stats you need to go back to 2e. Demihuman Deities, will give you stats for avatars of Deep Duerra and Laduguer (very interesting if your willing to convert them to 3e), and Monsters Mythologies might give you some info on Ilsensine and the giant god BadCatMan was talking about. Maybe others too, but I can't be sure since I don't own Monsters Mythologies. I don't think Auppenser was stated in Fallen Empire, but it is worth a look. These 2e books can be found on www.paizo.com for 4 US dollars. If you have Deities and Demi-Gods, version 3.0, you could «easily» make your own psionic god. How the god looks like would all depend on the portfolio. |

Diamonds are rare, hard, noble, valuable and pure, its a gem that fits the King of Gem Dragons and their are no diamond dragons to my knowledge. :) . Well, the author of the original gem dragon article, Arthur W. Collins, saw fit to choose ruby over diamond; maybe because, while diamond is colorless, as a very brilliant gemstone it might be associated with good; whereas red, as in Krynn where Lunitari the goddess of neutral magic is also the red moon, is a safe enough color. In gemology, flawless rubies and emeralds often surpass diamonds in value, though not necessarily reputation. Maybe Collins also had this in mind. Anyhows, I've accepted Sardior as the Ruby Dragon and even created a consort and deputy for him, both based on traditionally or commonly red gemstones: the Garnet Dragon, and the Carnelian Dragon. I call them the Red Triumvirate. |
| The Ubbergeek10-08-07, 07:53 PM | In FR, there is a feat for the kind of cultists who follow the creed of fallen divine ones.... Servant of Fallen Divine in fact I think. It's in Lost Empires(was that the name?) (3rd edition) - with the clerical stats for the ones who want to follow Auppenser also, btw, and so other 'dead' or slumbering (like auppenser) gods. The reasoning is that gods are very, very hard to kill, and a part of them are eternal... so... |

But the gem dragons do include a crystal dragon (which is essentially diamond I suppose). Though I do agree that this setup doesn't quite work. I would whole-heartedly support making the crystal dragons ruby instead, and making Sardior the Diamond Dragon. Although RavinRay does have a good idea. |
| RavinRay10-08-07, 08:18 PM | But the gem dragons do include a crystal dragon (which is essentially diamond I suppose). They used the old name of crystal for quartz, from the ancient belief the quartz is permanently frozen ice. "Quartz" dragon didn't sound too good, I suppose. |

As for the moon on Krynn grey would be closer to neutrality. |
| Rohano10-09-07, 02:14 AM | There's a reason that all the psionic gods are either obscure or asleep. Cthulu manifested psionic crush on each of them, ate their brains, then decided to go back to bed. Including Ilsenine. Pah, pretender and tentacle-faced homewrecker. |

He is not a proper psionic god as far I know, but of twisted warlockries. He is closer of Greyhawk's Tardizun than Illsenine. |
