I have Ravenloft 3.0 so my question is since Expedition to castle ravenloft 3.5 has been out for awhile. And i'm assuming some of you have it. Is it worth me picking up 3.5 as well? Or is it just revised stats from 3.0 and a waste of money?

XtCR isn't a Ravenloft campaign setting. It's an adventure module, like the original Ravenloft.

What I was asking as being a Ravenloft fan. Having 3.0 Ravenloft mod. Should I get the 3.5 mod as well is it worth it?

I bought the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft book as well, and its pretty cool if you like low level games. My group favors epic, so I was a little sad to see Count Strahd as a CR 15 level 10 Necromancer. :weep:
I liked how they incorporated the Three Dragon Ante deck into Barovia's fortune telling. I've run three parties of appropriate level player characters through the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft module- and had three party wipes. They were never seen again. My players refuse to let me run Ravenloft because they fear the campaign setting- some of them dread letting me run an epic version of it.

Hey, Ojike the Rat Lord never died. In fact, he fought off 8 strahd zombies at once, and he ate that ham-fisted guy (mmm, ham-fisted).
DR 10/silver FTW!! :w00t:

You may have lived, but the party was hardly defeating the adventure. Alright, we determined that Rat Lord did survive- but I'm not sure if anyone else did on that last run.
I also wanted to mention that it was pretty cool that the adventure module gave you the stats for the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind and the Sunsword as Legacy items.

There is no Ravenloft 3.0 mod. There are only accessories: campaign setting DMG, PHB, Gazetteers, etc. No modules.

EtCR is quite different from the WhiteWolf/Sword&Sorcery Ravenloft stuff. It disregards all 3E Ravenloft material for starters. Also it suffers heavily from core-ification. Halflings and zombies abound and Strahd looks like an anime character. Alas i havn't read it so i refrain from final judement.
