What are salient divine powers and how do they work? Can you list me a few of them?

Salient divine abilities are deity specific powers and thus cannot be given to any being with out divine ranks.
They can be found for example from Faiths and Pantheons FR supplement.

Deities and Demigods is another good source, and if your try to give a none deity character salient powers say good by to your game they are so extremely over powered and they cant be stopped, 'give life' 'take life' 'divine blast' those are the ones off the top of my head, there are others that allow gods to control the elements, and summon followers, and create anything without anything instantaneously, stuff that makes "hell-ball" look like magic-missle. Gods are gods and men are men, and Elminster's are both. Remember this.

Aye, some of the divine abilities are utterly insane (Bardic music to 14 miles? Call 20 Balors? 30D12 damage to 70 targets?)
