Disclaimer: This is what in recent days has happened in the Astranan version of the Abyss.
Disclaimer 2: Please excuse my english, it is not my native language and there will be a few spelling mistakes due to the fact that my spelling and grammer check seems to be... well... dead.
Disclaimer 3: I also put it here to have some of my new creatures and minor alterations to two demon lords and a new demon lord (well aspect-ish thingies, like FC 1) P.E.A.C.H.ed.

It all started as a reasonably standard day for the dark prince, he sat on his throne, had a few people that schemed against him marked and a few others brutaly tortured or murdered while he was sipping some fresh Shendilavrian wine that was brought in this morning by his faithfull spy stationed there. However, everything changed when two of his spies turned up simultaniously.
The first came from Shedaklah and looked rather concerned, while the second was the spy from Shendilavri he saw this morning who looked gleefull. The both imparted highly interesting snippets of news.
"Zuggtmoy has become more powerfull? how can you tell?"
"Well oh dark one, her apearance has changed significantly and simultaniously she is pushing the slimes of Juibilex easily back into the depths, another mysterious occurence is the sudden unrest in her city, where all many usualy calm citizens have begun violently attacking one-another, only the Myconids and other plant and fungi-like creatures seem uneffected."
"Anything else unusual you can tell me about these fights?"
"I saw one of them start, they were fine untill they got out into the open air, when they suddenly started grappling, it ended with one ripping off the other's head."
The dark prince grinned. {This might prove most usefull, time to go pester Juibilex a bit and find out what exactly Zuggtmoy can do in return.}
Then the second spy aproached and his words proved even more intregueging.
"Shendilavri is in an uproar? unknown demons apearing on an island in the scarlet sea...."
"Yes my lord, while Malcanthet has been doing her best to keep it quiet, it is rather hard to conceal these demons, within a few hours her popularity and confidence to her leadership has dropped spectaculairly as her first group sent to eradicate this scourge on her pretty little plane was anhilated."
The dark prince was very pleased.
{With an obvious diversion, and a potential new weapon.... ah yes, the time to act is here.}

What happened next is rather blurry, within two days the balance of power had shifted dramaticly, as for no apparant reason Demogorgon began fighting himself to the death, ending the fight by crushing his left skull between his right tentacle and sagging into a giant pile of demonic rage burned out onto the floor, Graz'zt was the first on the scene first and claimed the title of Prince of Demons, meanwhile the little pocket of demons had managed to survive two potent attacks from Shendilavri's natives and a mysterious demoness came to Melcanthet.

Melcanthet sits atop her throne furiously contemplating recent events.
"That pompous black skinned bastard, I bet he's behind this, the timing was to perfect, my realm is under attack, demogorgon's minions rush to my aid but halfway stop due to the fact that the two headed idiot crushed his own skull, HE claims the title for a battle won by suicidal rage and nobody noticed untill it was to late becouse everybody was looking here...."
A calm voice speaks into her ear.
"Sounds like your position has caused you a lot of hardship."
"Yes well, I can deal with it in the long term, thanks to you we're finaly making progress against these invaders, what did you call them?"
"Arcithi, arcane enhanced demons"
"Disgusting, like we need more hideous fiends down here... and why my realm?"
Dalathia smiles gently.
"Becouse their leader is after you, you're the easiest target for them with a decent position and layer."
"They're after Shendilavri?"
"That and your minions."
"For what? breeding purposes? there are plenty of succubi that could be scavanged elsewhere."
Dalathia for a moment seems to carefully think about her awsner.
"There might be other reasons."
"First however, I want to know, how do you know about these things? and why are you helping me?"
"Their leader wants it this way."
"He wants you to help me fight off his own attack?"
"Ofcourse I do, how else was I supposed to get close enough to fight you for your title... oh and its 'She wants you to help me fight off her own attack.' obviously."
Melcanthet smiles.
"You expect me to believe that you would be stupid enough to enter my palace, and whisper in my ear you plan to overthrow me? he's very clever."
"Believe what you will."
Dalathia suddenly begins to radiate extreme amounts of energy, Melcanthet can feel her own magic bolstering by this sudden source of power right next to her.
Five great scaly demons with forked tails apear around them and raise their tails up high as a dome of dark energy shields them and the two demonesses from the outside.
Melcanthet laughs.
"So you really are that stupid, fair enough, lets do battle, I appreciate your willingness to fight me one on one."
"Oh I would have done it with more, however this should be easy enough and will also be a lot better for my populairity amongst your minions."
"Arrogant little whelp, time to feel the wrath of the Demon Queen of Succubi."
The battle rages only shortly, when the barrier falls Dalathia is holding Melcanthet's head and greedily licking up the stream of blood dropping out of her head.
"Funny, I would have said the same thing, if I had that title... oh wait, I do now."

Possesions Dalathia always has atleast 20 rare gemstones on her person, decorating her clothing, jewelry or just in a small bag hidden on her person, each stone is worth between 20.000g and 30.000g, some of those stones currently hold a soul from a powerfull creature she has trapped in there with Trap the Soul or Binding.

Arcane Excellence (Su) - Dalathia is a demon with powerfull arcane might, hungrily absorbs arcane energy from arcane spells used against her, she is such a powerfull nexus of arcane energy her mere pressence bolsters arcane effects.
All spells cast within 100 feet of her have their caster levels increased by 1.
Whenever she is effected by another creature's arcane spells she heals 2d6 hitpoints per spell level.
Control Enchantment (Su) - Dalathia subconsiously attempts to assume control over all enchantment spells on creatures within 60 feet of her and any enchantment spell cast within 60 feet of her, the caster of the actual spell is entitled a special save to roll identical to trying to penetrate her spell resistance, success means the spell is cast as normal, failure means Dalathia controls the enchantment and is allowed to choose the target it if she assumed control during the casting.
If an enchantment spell is cast targetting Dalathia if it fails to penetrate her spell resistance it is effected by Control enchantment, no additional roll is made regardless of failure or succes.
Dark Tongued (Ex) - Dalathia is a particulairly eloquent user of Dark Speech does not take any Cha damage from using it to enhance her spells. (This is already calculated into her stats)
Eldritch Venom (Poison)(Su) - Touch, Will DC 41, initialy reduces caster level by 2, secondary increases caster level by 1 and 1d6 Con Drain.
Once a creature starts taking secondary damage from Eldritch Venom Dalathia heals 10 hitpoints each time the creature takes secondary damage, creatures cannot be reduced to lower then 4 Con by this poison.
Creatures usualy immune to poison are not immune to Eldritch Venom.
Eldritch Venom can only effect creatures with an effective caster level (for spells, spell-like abilities or special attacks that also have caster-level dependant effects).
Enamor (Ex) - Dalathia can once per round target a victim of her Immortal Beauty or Eldritch Venom with an effect identical to Mindrape (CL 22) that programs the person into a perfect willing slave of her slightest whim except that it does a allow a will save (DC 43) that during the next week it can be dispelled like a normal Enchantment spell, after that only a Wish or Miracle can restore the creature to its previous state of mind.
Inexperianced Grappler (Ex) - Dalathia is physicly rather weak and not used to close combat, she adds only half her base attack bonus to her grapple check.
Immortal Beauty (Ex) - Dalathia is so unearthly beautifull that creatures wishing to do any sort of hostile action against her while the target can see her must first make a will save (DC 38) or be forced to do something other else.
Immortal Beauty also adds a deflection bonus to her armor class equal to her Charisma modifier.
Levitation (Su) - Dalathia channels a small portion of her magical energy through her body to permanetly imbue herself with the Fly spell, when this is dispelled she automaticly resumes it during her next turn that she doesn't start inside an Anti-magic field.
Poison (Su) - Touch, Fort DC 41, initial 4d6 Wisdom, secondary Wisdom lock.
When a creature would receive secondary damage from this poison it instead prevents the victim from having his or her wisdom restored by any means while the poison is in effect.
Summon Demons (Sp) - Once per day Dalathia can summon 1d6+2 Succubi, 1d3 Lilitus or 1 Arcithi Temptress. This ability functions as a 9th level spell (CL 22nd).

She has with good reason dethroned her predecessor for the succubi couldn't wish for a more desirefull and deadly leader then the abyssal incarnation of beauty that is Dalathia.
A seductive temptress reinforced with awsome arcane might.

Strategy and Tactics
Dalathia may have acces to a highly powerfull arsenal of spells and abilities but is close to powerless in close combat against capable warriors so she does her best to stay away from close combat.
She usualy opens combat by summoning reinforcements, using succubi to deal with large numbers of weaker foes, lilitu to deal with mostly melee groups and Arcithi if there are only a few targets and on of them is a powerfull arcane spellcaster.
Typicly she then continues the fight by unleashing her vast array of charming abilities and every now and then swooping past with an Adroit Flyby Attack to tailwhip the Arcane spellcaster so that it becomes an available target for Enamor.
When grounded by an enclosed space or an Antimagic field she tries to make good use of her Tumble and Escape Artist to get away.
When dropping low on hitpoints she usualy casts some random powerfull spell, sometimes even an enchantment spell on herself to heal some damage, her favorite for this is Protection from Spells though she frequently also uses Dominate Person or Dominate Monster.
However Dalathia always tries to avoid fighting herself when it can be avoided, frequently if she deems the target threatening enough resorting to diplomatic measures only to later, when suitable preperation has been made, oblitherate them.
She only shows long term or even permanent mercy to enemies who excell in either physical strength (Str/Con) or mental agility (Int/Cha) that could prove to be powerfull allies (when under her influence ofcourse).

Servants, Enemies and Goals
Dalathia's exact origin is a mystery but one thing is for certain, she is a demon, however she calls herself not a Tanar'ri but a Arcithi, a breed of demon she transformed herself into through powerfull arcane experiments, she has been using this process to transform or even create from raw abyssal energy new demons to serve her, though she is more then willing to trade a few of these arcane demons for certain favors.
Her greatest succes amongst these are the Arcithi Temptresses which are created from succubi and turned into demonesses with magical power that in combat can rival Balors, she keeps these as her elite forces for within Shendilavri and created a second more easily produced but weaker succubi veriant she dubbed Arcithi Maidens also prove to outmatch the now very displeased lilitus.
Dalathia is currently working on a project to enhance the lilitus so she can maintain their morale and through that their loyalty.
Graz'zt in particular seems to have a blooming alliance with her as they have begun a rather prosperous trade between Shendilavri and Azzagrat, but each is carefully monitoring the other for suspicious activity.
Dalathia was perhaps powerfull enough to comandeer a layer, kill and absorb the power of its queen but she acomplished that thanks to the blissfull ignorance of her existance up till that point, an edge which she has lost now, however she knows that even with that she probably still would have had trouble dealing with Graz'zt who has a much larger realm whith many more servants and a tighter security, she knows that despite his current battles with Orcus and various other demon lords, she has no hope of defeating him with her current unstable realm.
Graz'zt on the otherhand sees her as a extremely usefull asset as long as he cannot obtain the secret of creating Arcithi and depends on her to supply him with a bolstered army against the hosts of Orcus.
Currently Dalathia has no open conflicts with the other demon lords, but shendilavri has recently had to deal with a severe number of spies and envoys as she has caught the eye of many demon lords.
Next to that she since her rise and sudden fame, has had to deal with a lot of amorus fiends aswell, Malcanthet afterall was quite popular amongst many male demons and this new more powerfull and more beautifull queen of succubi has been bombarded with all kinds of plays from quite a lot of powerfull demons, when word got out that she so far is still a virgin interest became even greater, something she had planned on to give her more time to stabalise her realm, purity is afterall a nigh impossible to find quality in the Abyss which makes her an all the more rare and valuable treasure.
Her current plans are to carefully purge Shendilavri of any disloyalty and reshape it slightly to suit her needs more, one thing is the construction of a mighty island citadell where she can expand her arcane experiments.
After that she plans to hit Yeenoghu and the King of Ghouls hard and fast to just like Graz'zt whom she admires slightly, secure a second layer to further expand her realm.

Still need help with her CR, I'm guesing 22 or 23 myself but I probably am mistaking.

Arcithi Traits
All Demons with the Arcithi subtype have the following traits (unless otherwise noted)
- Immunity to Electricity, Poison, Cold and Death effects (such as Finger of Death).
- Resistance to Acid 10.
- Summon (Sp): Identical to the summoning ability Tanar'ri have except that it can in most cases only be used to summon Arcithi.
- Telepathy.
- Arcane Quality(Sp): All Arcithi react in some special manner to being targetted by an arcane spell. (The actual effect is noted in the monster description.)

Graz'zt
Graz'zt's HD increased by 2 (with further apporpriate changes to Base Atk, saves etc.)
In addition Graz'zt's Summon Tanar'ri ability has increased to 1d6+2 vrocks, 1d4+2 hezrous, 1d2+2 glabrezu, 1d2+1 nefalshees, 1 marilith or 1 balor.

Eye witness report by Jinjibi
Recently a survivor of the Demogorgon battle was uncovered in an attempt to find out exactly what happenend to the former prince of demons.
Jinjibi a Quasit was found at the scene locked up in a cage hanging in the corner of the room where Demogorgon's body was found.
"Well the day started as usual, I was subjected to my daily punishment called "Poke-failure-quasit-with-sharp-pointy-objects-that-cause-severe-discomfort-game" which partuclairly Babau seem to find most amusing, when I noticed a group of Vrocks circling over high.... we see them a lot as they patrol... but it wasn't time for their rounds."
He scratches his head.
"A few moments later I noticed small specks of purple dust in the air, it didn't look like Vrock spores at all... and that is when we suddenly all started killing each other.. I don't remember to clearly becouse I was practicly killing myself on trying to get through the bars to rip their eyes out of their sockets... but the killing went on a for a while and more demons that wanted to see what was going on started joining in shortly after they arrived."
He looked gleefull at the thought of so much carnage.
"Eventualy Demogorgon himself came to discipline us, manecingly killing two Babau with one slam, but before his vileness could bark orders at us.... he decided for some reason that a few more had to die to get the point across, escpecialy when they started attacking him aswell."
Jinjibi was now having trouble keeping his voice even as he tried hard not to snigger.
"We all were mad with rage for some reason, not caring about strength, just irrational fury that overides every single instinct we have... eventualy the chief succumbed to it aswell and he began really raging through the battle, sweeping demons up left and right and tossing them around, biting them in half and crushing their bones."
He then adopts a deeper voice for obvious suspension.
"However... when one of his lordship's tentacles for a brief moment couldn't find an opponent, it decided there was one right next to him all the time, and he began trying to kill himself, well the other himself..."
The quasit grins widely.
"And you know the rest."

NEWS FLASH!
Demogorgon's corpse is missing!
Graz'zt is the prime suspect but the new Prince of Demons claims "I have no use for that wreck any more, I'm... regrettably, not guilty of this corpse stealing."

4 days later:
NEWS FLASH!
Dagon has seized control of the majority of the Grand Abyss, the ancient Obyrith has in doing so silenced the terrible carnage that went on their in the last few days.
Rumor has it that maybe he took his former allies' body.
Dagon was not available to comment on these rumors.

I like the storyline, but I just bought feindish codex I, so I can't use this now...
Doom_Linnorm

02-25-07, 12:41 PM
Wait, becouse you bought the suplement that was used in creating this you can't use it?
It would be very hard to use this without having bought FC I.
Other then that, thanks a lot, I appreciate the feedback... though I am confused by it.
spncrbrrtt

02-25-07, 12:47 PM
right now I'm sort of obsessed with demons, and a drastic change in the heirarchy of the a byss that I have been studying for the last week would sort of kill me. ;)
Doom_Linnorm

02-25-07, 01:10 PM
Ah now I can understand, yes Demons are plenty confusing without suddenly killing two and adding a new one.
spncrbrrtt

02-25-07, 01:41 PM
yup. plus demogorgon is after another group of adventurers, so he can't die now. (after all, he's too cool to die.)
Doom_Linnorm

02-25-07, 01:53 PM
I beg to differ, while he certainly has his qualities, I find it preposterous that a random hash of mismatched creatures formed into a demonic entity with serious mental issues that doesn't come close to matching the quality and style his two rivals have, is/was Prince of Demons.
I'm convinced that the only reason he was and remained Prince of Demons was becouse of Graz'zt's imprisonment and Orcus' death, in other words random good fortune... the prince of demons should relly on cunning, sorcery and strength.... not strength and luck.
So.... I disposed of him.

Edit: Also, I've never had a player that could take a double baboon-headed lizard seriously... even if I described them the ancient history and terror..... both Orcus and Graz'zt have them running to the bathroom at the mention of their name.. despite the fact that I explained that neither of those is the current Prince of Demons while "scaly tentacle monkey" (as they liked to call him) is.
spncrbrrtt

02-25-07, 02:13 PM
but... but... oh, well. I still like him. :P

I guess I just have some thing for weird demon lords. him, kostchtchie, and Baphomet are my faves.
Doom_Linnorm

02-25-07, 02:38 PM
I also like Baphomet, but hate both "big baby" and "scaly tentacle monkey".
Graz'zt is my fav, I'm also fond of Juibilex, Pazuzu and Pale Night.
Oh and ol' Fraz always cheers me up with his anoying little "demon lord goes super nuclear ballistic on unsuspecting humans" trick. :P

Edit: Yeah if you want uncaring monster of a demon lord, nothing's got that more then Juibi.
Edit2: Maybe we should switch to PM's becouse this is sort of... clogging a bit maybe..... just a bit.....

I have two thing I dislike here... 1) Like spncrbrrtt I'm rather against major canon changes for no reason (note: I mean in-game reason. You wouldn't believe how much I sometimes want to beat people about the head when their whelp X beat canon god/archfiend Y because it sounded cool.
As far as I can tell its just a 'i don't like Demogorgon so I'll big up some streak o'...' so...i'll shut up on that for now...

2) I'm not certain of the CR. By the special abilities themselves Dalathia is definiately low epic in their overall effect, but I'd be inclined to say she'll get pwned so badly there (epic with her stats vs epic PCs... I'd give her a round of survival with no legion of guards, maybe two if she's lucky...) but for the arcane excellence. And to be frank, at level 23+ I'd give that nothing, since epic spells and their ungodly damages exist (and at epic levels I'd be inclined to think there something wrong if they haven't been allowed to make one or two...).
But by her DCs I'd say CRs 24-28. They seem very high to me. Thoguh the fact she seems to be deadlocked quite a bit by the present of a simple ring from the DMG2 is... weird to say the least

However I don't have FC so I may be off with my next question, if the explanation is in there my apologies therefore:

Have her stats come out of someones ass?
I make it a 24 BAB with no damage, and a DC of some 16 on the poison what with the fact poisons are usually linked to con.
She has 24 feats where the norm is 9-10, and you only get a feat every 3 HD...
Her hp average is 183.5 with 264 at maxed rolls so even if she were a god I don't get where those are extra 105hp are from...

Again if the above one is covered by the FC, do say, but otherwise I'm wondering about the legality of her stats.

In shorthand I've got a couple of offences aginst the fluff and apparent stats butchery (nothing against Dalathia though, her fluff sounds in part likely. The part where she, a succubi takes over sounds all too possible. Someone offing Demogorgon for no reason/with on method though...)

This is a fair opinion, I actualy did have a lot of better found elaborate campaign based reasons to get rid of him though. (a few of which I might divulge in a bit)
I didn't JUST kill him off cus I didn't like him, I killed him off becouse I had to kill somebody off, increase Graz'zt position and kill off Melcanthet.
So I chose to go for the one I didn't like, was somebody who's death would benefit Graz'zt and preferably would be an ally of Melcanthet.... that sort of narrows it down quite a lot.
Still again, everybody is entitled to an opinion, thanks Khael, its appreciated that you responeded with constructive critism.
(Also I also hate it when people come up with a char that can beat {insert established WotC deity/archfiend in here} without having proper grounds for it.... mind you last I checked Graz'zt is intelectual property of WotC... so.... this doesn't apply to him.... as for Dalathia, she didn't usurp a truly big fish like Demogorgon, Graz'zt, Orcus, Pale Night, Pazuzu or Dagon... she took on a rather... well comparibly small fry.)

Interesting, taking it into account.... though I'm curious which ring you are reffering to?
Her high DC's mind you are offset by her Str 8 and miserable grapple score, I sort of balanced her on "Big in Casting v. crap in Melee".

However I don't have FC so I may be off with my next question, if the explanation is in there my apologies therefore:

Have her stats come out of someones ass?

Melcanthet's to be exact, well they are loosely based, I used her as a reference.

I make it a 24 BAB with no damage, and a DC of some 16 on the poison what with the fact poisons are usually linked to con.

I on purpose linked it to Cha, becouse its a supernatural poison, it doesn't really function like any normal kind of poison, also the low save DC would have made it pointless.

Both noted and working on, I made a terrible miscalc and went a little over the top with the feats, dun worry its being worked on.
Thanks for telling me, I was a bit to happy to notice.
Edit: Think I corrected the major flaws, removed a few feats and fixed her hp.

I'm writing some details on that, should be entertaining.
Oh and she's not a succubus herself, just read her physical description above her stat block.
Edit: Post #5 has got a few more details on this, though we'll find out the exact specifics from another source.

Overall, again thanks very much Khael, I can always count on you to pay attention and provide a usefull comment.

Good to hear, I've nothing against Graz'zt 'rising' (he is my personal favourite of the big demon three as well, in part due to the 'tales of wyre' up on enworld years/months back, which is a shame since Demogrogn was way cooler in that (Simply put he seemed to be in effect the ultimate evil, so much so theres a rumour in that setting of how 'the lucifer' descended into the pit, and the subsequent conversation with Demogorgon sent him running back out never to return.) though I have to profess I do find Demogorgon to represent the unknowable evil much better in his bizarre form.

Interesting, taking it into account.... though I'm curious which ring you are reffering to?
Her high DC's mind you are offset by her Str 8 and miserable grapple score, I sort of balanced her on "Big in Casting v. crap in Melee".

Ring of mental protection, or something... It's from DMG, and essentially its effect is to nullify any and all mind affecting effects. Since her spells...are pretty much centred on this , then this ring renders her near useless, in comparision to a full caster (who will no doubt use the probable round she wasted casting a mind-affecter to slay her)
And the big in casting Vs melee... Will kill her. Wizard mass teleport coupled with a buffed up cleric or druid and fighter-type... uh-oh...

Melcanthet's to be exact, well they are loosely based, I used her as a reference.
Which parts out of interest? because stuff like the BAB does not seem possible even for WOTC known lapses in editing...

I on purpose linked it to Cha, becouse its a supernatural poison, it doesn't really function like any normal kind of poison, also the low save DC would have made it pointless.

Okay.

Both noted and working on, I made a terrible miscalc and went a little over the top with the feats, dun worry its being worked on.
Thanks for telling me, I was a bit to happy to notice.
Edit: Think I corrected the major flaws, removed a few feats and fixed her hp.

No problem, though looking though the re-edits, I think theres one or two too many feats still. I also think she need some of those metamagic removed, and weapon finesse removed. They're dead weight and in some cases downright unlikely (I don't see delay or sculpt being too useful. I mean her Arcathi and all those immunities? Knock off delay and sculpt, and put in energy substitution (cold or electricity, her minions shrug those off like water off a duck. The PCs on the the other hand))
Pack in some SLA metamagics, whats wrong with quickened teleport SLA to avoid those teleported buffed druids?

I'm writing some details on that, should be entertaining.
Oh and she's not a succubus herself, just read her physical description above her stat block.

Prove it... Succubi are known shapeshifters... (Yes I did check the stats but still... alter self and a facechanger reserve feat, et voila!)

Overall, again thanks very much Khael, I can always count on you to pay attention and provide a usefull comment.
No problem, my brand of shouting down at people is always ready...

On a final note, I've been wondering... I know your gameworld is a homebrewed one known as Astrana, sealed off from out intervention, and known to be created by the dragon gods... so now do fiends fit in? I ask because if they stem from a dragon, its sounds more likely demogorgon would simply have a brief rewrite so he now looks like a vast two headed dragon etc.
And if they stem from being a sort of virus powered by evil... again you'd expect the wielder of such power to have been changed to something more fitting.

(The problem I have here is, since no-knows has definite info on how the creation of the standard setting came about, we can say fiends are there, demogorgon looks like that etc. and blame it all on Chaos, Evil, Good and Law etc. But since you have such a prelayed setting to me it seem, well weird such things aren't so. I know for example from previous readings your fiends don't have body/soul individuality (balor mummies if memory serves) which begged my question on demogorgon being so by the book, when a pretty major point of being an outsider was removed to begin with.)

I think you missed the part about her also being able to cast as a level 20 Sorceress, who likes Enchantment, Evocation and Abjuration.
But yes, I sure as hell am going to add a Quickened Greater Teleport to her SLAs.
And note: Its pretty frikkin hard to kill her with spell damage, and death effects don't work.
+2d6 per spell level means she gets a lot of HP back when you target her.
To be fair though, about the Sorceress spellcasting, I should add a spell list to that, becouse its easy to skim over it.

Weapon Finesse + BAB (as fighter) = frightening.

Well, Astrana mirrors a lot of other worlds in some extent, but in its timeline, Fiends, Celestials, {Axiomatics} and Slaadi were created by the workings of the dragon gods to have certain qualities and roles in their multiverse.
The Dragon Gods are not all "Good" in fact the majority of them used to be True Neutral in their "early years", they desired certain influences, both good and evil, law and chaos, would be crucial to effect the lives of mortals.
Over the course a few of them have shifted slightly along alignment axises but for example Shadesh still has a lot of actions that can be considered "Good" while even Lumina does things considered "Evil".
(Dragon god of Darkness and Dragon Goddess of Light respectivly.)

Well, true in my setting he does have certain changes, he looks more Reptilian/Aphibian/Fish with four huge clawed arms, but his base principle is still the same.
He to me didn't seem to have much of a purpose that wasn't already filled by Graz'zt or Juibilex.
Next to that, just "Giving" Graz'zt the title would be to simple, so through a double layered machination (its not as simple as it looks, as you'll soon find out when I do the next story post) I had him "Claim" it by a devious ploy.... that wasn't at its root atleast thought up by him.

But yes, I sure as hell am going to add a Quickened Greater Teleport to her SLAs.

Actually I didn't. It's why I said she was pretty much reduced to a puffed up sorcerer by the ring.

It's easy not to target her though, too many spells can either blast her for serious damage, topping the excellence effect, or simply not directly targeting her. Fireball for example, ignores her healing effect, loses only 5 damage to her resistance, and by epic, the caster will likely break though the SR...
Or firestorm for a lot more damage. Both target areas, not creatures

As for the death effects effect Arcathi get. I'd maybe expect some players to complain, unless they'll wielding clerics or druids, or have a wizard with antimagic field, combo with a fighter... Remember 1d6 damage won't help if her poisons get nulled that way...

Not to mention the teleport in buffed up cleric with good cold iron weapon I mentioned. He doesn't target by spells, he just swings a big sword...

Or... orbs. Orb of fire deals a lot of damage (some 15d6) and healing 8d6 from that is still a good way to do damage. They also ignore saves, and SR.

And lastly... fear teh ice assassin casting geometer... fear him when he gets to command a Dalathia as a servant, for some few hundred thousand gold... (It shouldn't ever come up, but its always nice to throw the old problem, if your unique monster can't handle itself how effective is it really...)

Weapon Finesse + BAB (as fighter) = frightening.

Holy...

I'd still be more frightened by strength damage to her though.

(Dragon god of Darkness and Dragon Goddess of Light respectivly.)
Of course they're not all good, but it was the point: Since some dragons are evil, why don't fiends seem to reflect this, in appearance, since I'd expect the eldest fiends at least to be draconic in mimicry of their creators.

Graz'zt, Dark prince suductive master, so much so he seems like a devil,
Juibilex... semi-mindless killing machine with few aims beyond feeding?
Demogorgon, Horrific master artificer, lord of the watery wastes, Prince of demons...

But course you missed Orcus. Its not enough to lay claim to a title, they have to hold it, and Demogorgon's legions still exist. (Simply I'd be more likely, from an outsider view such as a PC with planar knowledge might bring, to expect Graz'zt to die soon, either when Demogrogon rises again, with one sole aim left (Remember he's always been distracted before and since nothing yet seems to have declared him 'dead' as dead can be, if anything he'd be more fearsome than ever before) or when whoever took out demogorgon takes him out. Orcus on the other hand, sounds like he'd be immune due to his 'semi-dead' status...).

Because this is such a change and involves differences to the fiends to begin with. After all you did just admit the "scaly tentacle monkey" is actually a lot different in appearance here (four arms for example makes him rather more effective in a direct fight, since he'd now have... 8 attacks?)

Also because P.E.A.C.H. is rather more of a monsters/classes board thing, and there relatively little to P.E.A.C.H. on a 'finished' monster

Ok, ok, very true, this is the Deities and Planes board yes.
In my setting also, due to my personal interpretation I already have plenty Demon Lords encroaching upon his territory.
Dagon in my interpretation has more control of the "Watery wastes", as for Artifice.. even Baphomet gets in on that action, Scalykind? other then a few of the Shattered Tribes, no scalies worship him in my setting.
And why he held the title of Prince of Demons, he was always clashing with Orcus and Graz'zt for it, and it never got resolved.... untill now.
But you are right about one thing, we haven't seen the last of Demogorgon... though it might not completely be what you expect it to be.
(Remember that in my setting Outsider bodies are sperate from their souls.)

About holding the title:
Graz'zt, Orcus and Demogorgon have always been in a sort of threeway stalemate, with Demogorgon out of the way there is a power vacuum that is far more interesting to fill then to try and wrench power away from Graz'zt.
As for his legions, demons aren't known for loyalty to dead masters, Demogorgon's minions have scattered, a few are currently brawling for control of the Grand Abyss, but there's another player homing in on that zone.
Edit: Another Newsflash added.

About Fiends and Dragons:
Well, fiends, celestials, formians(I don't use Modron's becouse I don't have ANY meterial on them) and slaadi were independant from them, and also developed seperatly as time went on.
Next to that, there are draconic beings in the outer planes that contribute, Hellfire Wyrms for example.

For her weakspots:
Well, any suggestions on how to fix Str damage issue without raising her Str? (hurting her flavour).
The wording of Arcane Brilliance indeed is a bit off there, it also flavourwise makes no sense why she wouldn't get the benefit from AoE spells.
Gonne fix that.
And how do Geometers controll her? I'm curious becouse I don't know this technique.

Ah... see this is the thing, normally Demogorgon holds the title because he is the most powerful. In your setting it seems... he shouldn't even have it historically.

Power vacuum? Not really. Either Demogrogn's next general, whoever he amy be, will have assumed command, since he held his postition by power etc. Or Orcus and Graz'zt will just assume the plane. Graz'z't probably took the whole layer with the title. It's not too hard, especially if the former minion there serve him now, as ruler.
It's unlikely Graz'zt can or would after all swing in, claim a title, then leave.

About Fiends and Dragons:

Hellfire wyrms are devil-users by default, since demons... are a bit harder to use in intricate plans usually flavoured by intelligent beings, so the point is somewhat moot there.
What it does seem to boil down too though is the outsiders are in effect beyond the gods much like mortals are, correct?

(The above line refers to MAD (Mutually assured destruction) Essentially, each gods won't directly intervene, because their opposing god will also, probably on the other side, usually cumilating int he other gods smacking them about etc... so they don't have a direct control over fiendish actions, celestials etc. which to a degree generic gods do (at least good gods over celestials))

For her weakspots:

Secure strength ability? It basically means you can't negatively affect her base strength score.
However it makes no sense for her to have it.
I can't comment on the flavour of arcane brillance because... it doesn't exist... Though I wouldn't change it. To do so in effect gives her only two real weaknesses:
1)strength damage
2)physical combat, almost definately in combo with antimagic.

Changing the wording also suggests her own spellcasting heals her... cold fireballs should not be a permitted move with that...

And lastly... The ice assassin spell, is an 9th level spell that takes several hours and a piece of the being's own body to duplicate the being in full complete with memories, but with the inescapable urge to kill the original and the cold subtype in addition.

Geometers from CA get at 1 first level, the scribe spellglyph ability which lets them subsitute a spell spellglyph for a material component, though it costs equal to the component.

This glyph can be exchanged for the flesh... so for several thousand gold, it would be a possible use of ice assassin and a protection from energy (fire) scroll to create in effect an invincible opposition for Dalathia, especially if the party equip their one with gear for battle.

In effect they make a Dalathia inevitable. It's also a much better way to kill demogrogn, if demogorgon is slain by demogorgon...

What an incredibly funny little spell, from which source is it? sounds like a nice campaign hook in itself.

Well, Demogorgon had it becouse:
A: He was quite Tough
B: Both Graz'zt and Orcus have been messed with... death, imprisonment, that kind of thing.

Now for Graz'zt to assume control of the entire layer is a bit tough, he'd have to move in with a sizeble army to crush the swarms of demons into submission, and then hold it from the forces of Orcus AND Dagon who stream in now that their opponent or ally is gone.
Basicly, staying there would have been suicide unless he leaves his precious Azzagrat severly weakened.

There are also Dragons residing in the abyss, some even directly native to it.

Gods are supposed to limit a bit how much they interfere in mortal affairs and keep a close eye on what is happening in the world portfolio wise.
They have big responsibilities that take up a lot of their time.

I'll take another look over Arcane Brilliance again, as to why she has it, all Arcithi demons have an "Arcane {Insert word}" that triggers when they are effected by magic.
She has so much arcane energy coursing through her that she actualy radiates it, bolstering nearby spells.

Anti-Magic Field with Melee is an intentional weakness.
Ofcourse a crucial thing to remember here is that the stats presented do not refer to the Archfiends themselves (No way Archfiends themselves are CR 19-24)
I believe the're called Aspects? (thats what FC2 calls them)

Edit: Also the above point (in post #21), is actualy, in reference to the Abyss when you think about it, VERY VERY true.
The Abyss is Chaos, if there isn't power imbalance its just not very Abyssal.
Now lets go mess up Baator! :D

It a WOTC website spell so may not be usable in the setting, but really quite useful, however it's effect is only this powerful in a geomter's hands or similar PrC. Anyone else will have to go face off with the demon/archfiend/god they want to clone first to get the flesh.

Well, Demogorgon had it becouse:
A: He was quite Tough
B: Both Graz'zt and Orcus have been messed with... death, imprisonment, that kind of thing.

Have they here? I doubt Graz'zt was summoned by someone on a plane in another reality...
Also though part of his power is his artificing. If other dmeons can do it was well, thats deadlocked. And being a 'prince of demon' is not just personal power after all, but also armies and control. By this Demogorgon has no advantage outside of personal and is in effect a layer short of the generic.

Hardly, if he forces his control over the layer quickly, he should be able to sink a couple of attackers by that alone. Remember theres being in control of a layer, and ruling the layer. One of them involves bonding with the layer and I doubt Graz'zt would have many personal problems with adding a fourth layer to Azzagrat.
But more likely then is Orcus and Dagon clash, so the 'prince' mows both sides down.

There are also Dragons residing in the abyss, some even directly native to it. True but not enough to have any control i'd wager (chances are the few dragons old enough to any power in the abyss also are an allied terms with some of demon lords).

Gods are supposed to limit a bit how much they interfere in mortal affairs and keep a close eye on what is happening in the world portfolio wise.
They have big responsibilities that take up a lot of their time.

And it is because of the MAD. If one doesn't limit himself to X, his opposition won't either. (This actually seems to be the general reason for most things involving huge world-affecting things. I.E. here Graz'zt not claiming the layer - if he does the two with destroy him, if Dagon moves demogorgon's old army out fully, Orcus will be able to out number his etc.)

I'll take another look over Arcane Brilliance again, as to why she has it, all Arcithi demons have an "Arcane {Insert word}" that triggers when they are effected by magic.
She has so much arcane energy coursing through her that she actualy radiates it, bolstering nearby spells.

I get this. But it doesn't say why... she gets healed etc. I'd maybe expect a magic backlash attack against magical damage at best. It replenishing her now...I'd expect four meteor swarms also make her go bang with overload? (not really, but you get the idea)

Anti-Magic Field with Melee is an intentional weakness.

Yes, they're aspects. But... you haven't stated this. The book has. But you said this was an archfiend. With those abilties as it stands on an aspect, a fragment of power, I'm either going to expect she can heal fully in the flesh when targeted, or Graz'zt can in effect use alter reality without being a god, in the flesh.

Also... it is a weakness, but a tailored one (not every party has a composition of two or three warriors/apaldins/clerics/druid types to hammer her in one ronud or two, since all she needs is a 30ft move and her quickened teleport to get above and out of effect.

The post yup, but power imbalance... not really. The fact Graz'zt had to shift himself in the storyline there, shows no matter the rank he just pulled (Which he doesn't have yet... Orcus and Dagon can still earn it off him. He pulled out, Dagon took the area so far.) the balance has not in fact shifted while those two remain, and the third has risen, it just got replaced slightly...

Bsicly whats happening now, is Graz'zt having the title, but Orcus is still battling him for it, Dagon meanwhile has seized most of the layer, but doesn't show a lot of interest in pummeling Graz'zt for a title he doesn't desperatly want.
Dagon afterall never seemed to have any interest in it.
The 1v1v1 is now mostly 1v1.
Graz'zt has become "The most powerfull Demon Lord" through ellimination and a little power absorbtion, Orcus still wants that title and Dagon doesn't seem to mind to much, he if you ask me has always shown little interest in almost anything except maybe being worshipped by mortals.

Remember that her Grapple score is PATHETIC.

She absorbs arcane energy, perhaps I should have put that down....

Iggwilv does also exist in Astrana, though she's a greatblood and not human.
(Mind you that difference is VERY hard to see, biologicly she'd be considered human, but her ancestors are greater beings (Dragons/Fiends/Celestials... something stronger and scarier), due to inbreeding and a few cultural factors Greatbloods are in most respects considered a seperate race from humans, though very few humans are actualy aware that individuals like this exist.)
As did Zagig (also a Greatblood) and Ahmn (though he was a Dacian scholar in Astrana, not a human king).
So some parts of abyssal history mesh and need little alteration from core meterial, some things need a LOT of change.

As for Graz'zt using the very layer in itself in his defense, layer attunement isn't fast enough, and Graz'zt is at the moment just short of overstretching his army to defend three layers and wage war upon Orcus.
(though he's now got a big chunk available again, and its growing due to his status and his new shaky alliance, so he might add a 4th soon, but not before the dust settles a bit and the next imbalance begins.)

I'm not suprised, about Dagon, it sounds like he's:
1) figured out the other two will burn themselves fighting or at least weaken each other.
2) trying to play the long-game, presemedly ascension to godhood, by which he trumps the other two, and by default would be 'god of demons'. That or getting a party of Dagon-worshipping PCs to level the other two for him...

Fixed Arcane Brilliance.
Working on her feats.
After that I start working on making the first Arcithi demons postable.

And now without further adoo.
"Welcome to Astrana tonight, I'm your host Ardaki!"
The tiny azure dragonling flutters into view.
"We have a very special guest tonight, she has recently claimed rulership over Shendilavri, bred new species of Demon through her vile experiments, and enjoys a little bit of gardening on the side, PLEASE GIVE IT UP FOR: DALATHIA DEMON QUEEN OF SORCERY!"
Dalathia walks in and sits down on a large comfy armchair.
She's dressed in a regal cloak and an elegant silk tunic with matching skirt.
"Thank you very much for letting me on the show tonight Ardaki."
"Well I should be thanking you, thanks to your apearance more people then ever before have decided to scry in tonight."
She throws her hair back and smiles.
"Well, ok lets get on with it shall we?"
"We shall."
"Right then, our first question is if you could tell us a little about yourself, and not just what has happened recently."
"Well, my life is kind of boring untill the point I became a succubus."
"You can skip ahead a bit then."
"Thank you, uhm... well during that time I had already developed my severe ambition, I wanted to become known as a Demon Queen."
"That is not too unusual."
"Yes well, true... however, during my first excursion to the material plane I was summoned by a wizard, I was intrueged by how mortals had learned to study arcane energy as a source of power and use it to become stronger, I didn't realise this at first however, believing they just borrowed power from us demons by summoning them."
"So when did you start thinking about sorcery?"
"When I saw her oblitherate a small army ofcourse."
"Understandable."
"It was infact her from whom I learned to tap into arcane energies, she was studying demons and how they seemed to have vast stores of supernatural energies sealed in their body, how it is infact part of the biochemistry of many outsiders."
A cruel smile plays over her face.
"Eventualy I killed her with the power she taught me to wield."
Ardaki gulps.
"Ofcourse I was a little stranded now, I had no easy way of returning home, however, while I was still in the Abyss... I had heard of a mighty sorcerous fiend living on the material plane, an Arcanoloth."
"You mean you managed to persuade a 'loth to send you back to the Abyss?"
"Oh yes, a very agreable 'loth, if you provide the right favors... one of which mind you was to not further disclose any information about that...."
"Regrettable but I gues its unavoidable, I'm already surprised you were infact willing to do this interview."
"A person has to gloat Ardaki."
"So... this is basicly propeganda and ego pumping?"
"Maybe a bit yes...."
"Right.. carry on."
"So I ended up back in the Abyss, there I went into hiding on a plane I preferably would keep unknown aswell."
"Very well."
"I spent what I think might have been around fivehundred years practicing my art and experimenting with magic."
"Just out of curiosity, I know its rude to ask but... how old is your current shape?"
"I stopped being a Tanar'ri atleast fourhundred years ago."
"I'm guessing that doesn't awnser my question...."
She replied with a simple smile.
"Good gues."
"I take it after that period you started your little scheme and invaded Shendilvari."
"Well the actual scheming started atleast twohundred and fifty years ago, and the invasion of Shendilavri was not the first part of the plan."
"It wasn't?"
"First I payed a visit to Zuggtmoy, who was very interested in what I was offering, she didn't mind helping me if I helped her in return."
"So it was you that caused the sudden changes in Shedaklah."
"We demons can be surprisingly helpfull to each other if we both benefit from it, together we developed a powerfull new tool for her."
"I'm guesing it involves people becoming very very very angry."
"Not necessarily."
"Pardon?"
"Nevermind, but yes, her new spores can drive one mad with a murderous rage."
She smiled mysteriously.
"With a little manipulation of a two little demons I tracked down much earlier, I managed to make sure certain spies were in the right place at the right time."
"Ok, this is starting to get confusing."
"Well, I got a few of my toughest servants onto an Island in Shendilavri and caused an uproar, a certain other demon saw an oppertunity and grabbed it."
She leaned back, looking extremely pleased with herself.
"With cover from my little disturbance which momentarily distracts a few major demons, he manages to have the old two header kill himself."
"You engineered Graz'zt's rise to power?"
"Something that dramatic would temporarily send the lords into a frenzy, as expected this in turn gave me an oppertunity to in person, what she had expected least, battle Melcanthet directly for supremacy and then immediatly seize control of the layer before anybody realizes a new lord is attuning to a layer of the Abyss."
Ardaki stares at her dumbstruck.
"Wow......."
"Well, there we go, you've heard a bit of my story."
"Yes..... yes we have....uhm... we're going to have a short intermission people, we'll be back after the break."
