Strength and Planning domains [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-24-07, 02:15 PM No, but you could make one. Planning deities are more often lawful, but Strength does not suggest any specific alignment. For example, a LG god of safety, who has domains of Law, Good, Protection, Planning, and Strength. Another option would be a NE god of tyranny and government overthrow, who would have Evil, Planning, Strength, and (if using the domain) Tyranny.

If you're a player, make it a demi-deity and talk it over with your DM. If you have a good description of the deity and how they fit into the world, they will likely accept it. :)

05-24-07, 02:31 PM In fact almost any war god could, logicaly, have the two. No god exists with the two, but it is a logical pairing.

05-25-07, 05:54 AM What are you all saying? Helm, the LN god of guardians from the Forgotten Realms, gives access to both the Planning and Strength domains. No other FR deity does, however, and that domain hasn't been used in any non FR product as far as I know.

Yep, Planning is a FR-only domain iirc.

Helm offers Strength, Protection, and Planning as domains.

05-25-07, 10:21 PM I assume that the red knight has both as well, she is the incarnation of tactical warfare. She has planning, but im not sure about strength.

05-26-07, 11:08 AM Nope. The Red Knight has the Planning and War domains (as well as Law and Nobility), but not Strength.

As for Helm, his domains are Law, Planning, Protection, and Strength.

As of Spell Compendium it now officially exists in a non-FR source, though I don't remember any non-FR gods having it yet.

The only CW deity it is attributed to is Halmyr, whose domains are Law, Planning and War (favoured weapon is RAPIER... Eww.)

Suggested OTHER deities are Boccob, Vecna and Wee Jas.
