how hot or cold would the planes be lets say we got to the elemental plane of ice...how cold is it there.. and would endure elements do anything

endure elements
a creature protected by endure elements suffers no harm from being in a hot or cold environment. it can exist comfortably in conditions between -50 and 140 degrees fahrenheit withoughthaving to make fortitude saves eqquipment is likewise protected..

would this do anything to protect against the unnatural cold in EPOI

or would i have to take resist energy cold to try to protect myself?

Elemental plane of ice?
Whatever that is, I doubt it's higher than -50 degrees. It's the elemental plane of Ice. Furthermore, if Energy-Dominant (Cold) is like Energy-Dominant (Fire), it will deal actual damage (which endure elements does not protect against).

I've heard rumours about some paraelemental plane of ice that lies at the border of the elemental planes of air and water. :)

Technically it should as cold as 0° Kelvin (−459,67 °F) on the ice plane. Therefore endure elements is some 400 degrees too weak.

If it is Absolute Zero I wonder how many microseconds could a creature endure it...
Besides, not even the Wind would be blowing, Ice creatures themselves would be Frozen still... everything would be immobile, Silent and Dead...
In the Plane of Ice, instead, there are Winds and even liquid Water, if I'm not wrong, so, it should be something extreme, but not utterly...

Indeed. It's the paraelemental plane of ice, not cold. Still, Frostburn describes the frostfell regions of the elemental planes of Water or Air as dealing 1d6 points of cold damage per round to unprotected characters. Based on the later tables of the same book, zones of unearthly cold (-50 F or less) deal 1d6 points of cold and 1d4 points of nonlethal damage per minute, so the paraelemental plane of ice is, as we see, dlearly colder than that. Since temperature bands are always at least 20 F away from each other, it's safe to assume it's a most -70 F on the plane of ice, way too cold for an endure element spell.
