04-11-07, 12:08 AM Hello all,

I'm making a cleric that is going to eventually become a Thaumaturgist and Cosmic Descryer. I want to worship a god of portals, secrets, &c, and I have found a couple of deities I may be interested in, but does anyone know of a deity that fits the theme of these portfolios better? I can't find one for the life of me, and I'm positive there has to be a god associated with what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance.

P.S: Sorry if I'm somewhat sloppy in my sentence structure, I'm tired.

04-11-07, 12:42 AM Well if you're going evil, Vecna is the god of secrets and he has Portal and Portal (alt) domains. He also has Knowledge and Planning and Destiny too. I think he might be a good choice.

Although when I hear "God of Portals," I imagine a god who controls travel... so I think of Fharlanghn.

Shemeska the Marauder
04-11-07, 01:44 AM Aoskar the Portal Father, Greater Deity of Portals and Planewalking.

Unfortunately he's dead. Incredibly dead. Killed by the Lady of Pain.

Vecna works too if the character is evil.

04-11-07, 02:05 AM Janus is cool. A Roman god of portals.

Shaundakul is a Realms god that has portals, he is more CN though.

Shar is great for secrets and dark magic, not specifically of portals though.

Fharlaghn is a god of travel

Eilistraee actually has the portal domain

Dalt is a Greyhawk god that has doors, keys, locks and portals

Baervan Wildwanderer would be appropriate for a gnome

Hermes has travel thieves and liars

Marthamnor Duin (aka Muamman Duathal) for dwarves

Ptah might be an excellent choice as he has both travel and secrets and outerspace and the Universe

Shinare for Dragonlance

The Traveler for Eberron

Thoth has secrets and knowledge and magic

Vecna as mentioned above has secrets and evil magic, but does not have portals.
