Also this is my first on these forums as I spent for to long reading (and laughing) at what was written so bare with me if this is a much repeated request. |

There's a good webpage on the Inner Planes at Li Po's Hermitage (http://www.pathguy.com/inner.htm). It's mostly 2nd edition (from what I remember), but great stuff nonetheless. Finally, Al Qadim had some great information on the elemental planes. I don't recall which books were best, but you can't swing a stick without hitting a genie in that campaign. |

| Shemeska the Marauder03-30-07, 12:24 PM | As already mentioned, 'The Inner Planes' for 2e Planescape was a rocking sourcebook, and the legal pdf is cheap. There was also a large amount of material on inner planar monsters in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium III, and the Al Qadim sourcebook 'Secrets of the Lamp' is a very nice supplement to the Planescape sources on the inner planes (though not as much on the paras and quasis). There was a recent pair of Dragon articles that covered the good and evil archomentals as well that touches briefly on some para and quasielemental personages and their relation to those figures. For demiplanes the best source was the 2e Planescape 'Guide to the Ethereal', there have been some other minor sources as well such as Ed Bonny's 2e article in Dragon magazine on the (at the time demi)plane of Shadow, and recently I wrote a general demiplane article in issue #353 that looks at three particular demiplanes and gives a listing and short description of around 30 others. |

Actually the lst Edition Manual of the Planes was made just prior to new edition (2nd) and is privy to the transition. I found it very informative compared to later editions, especially on the dark of certain things. |
