If a god has the war domain, but it's favored weapon is an exotic weapon (such as bastard sword), does the cleric gain weapon proficiency with the bastard sword? The war domain says it grants "martial weapon proficiency" with the favored weapon... |

| kdelzeit07-06-07, 01:25 PM | On the war domain topic, if you are a cleric that does not worship a specific deity and take the war domain, can you select any weapon as your weapon focus since you are not limited to the deity's weapon. Or do you lose the war domain benefit since you do not have a deity. Has anyone seen a ruling on this? |

Has anyone seen a ruling on this? sort of, the "Spiritual Weapon" spell states that every unaligned cleric can make a choice from a list based on alignment (as opposed to a deitys favored weapon) if I was a DM I'd have unaffileated clerics pick in the same fashion. |
| bagpussmyhero07-13-07, 02:54 PM | Another question relating to the Cleric War Domain. The domain states that the cleric gets weapon focus with the deity's favoured weapon - but weapon focus itself says there is a prereq of BAB +1. As you select domain at first level I assume that the prereq can be ignored in this instance? |
