| rivaltuna12-15-07, 02:40 PM | I can't find any extra information, I google'd and wikipedia'd and still can't find any more information on The Hater of Life. He has such a kick ass concept, and I would really like to incorporate his clergy as a recurring villainous force into my campaign, but life is being difficult, as there seems to be very little information available on him or his clergy. Anyone want to help me out? I need the history and tendancies of Nerull, from any source. |
| Space_Dragon12-15-07, 05:09 PM | I know nothing about his history within the established meta-setting. However, another poster had an interpretation of him awhile ago that I thought was excellent, and promptly stole. Nerull's cultists are kind of like the Necromongers from Chronicles of Riddick. They believe that life is inherently painful, disgusting, and miserable, and that being dead is better than being alive. In order to free everyone from pain, they believe that life must end. Their ultimate goal is to convert enough of the world to slaughter everyone else, and then commit mass suicide. Whether Nerull himself believes that life would be better off not existing or if he's just a lying jackass is unknown. |

I had no idea that much fluff existed on him, thanks a million! |
| Thanael12-16-07, 02:28 PM | The core gods were all taken from the Greyhawk campaign setting which, being one of the the first settings at all, has a rich fluff history in 1E and 2E products. Itīs all there for the inquiring minds to learn. Unfortunately 3E only presented a watered down version of it as the so-called Core Setting. |
