What does the Strongly-aligned penalty apply to? [Archive] - Wizards Community

No. It does not.

If heavy armor doesn't affect reflex saves, then planar effects shouldn't affect will saves.

It does not apply to saves. It applies to checks.

A 'check' is not a save. There are a few types of checks, level, ability and skill being the most common.

The penalty applies to the three ability score checks, plus any checks using those skills, such as Knowledge, Diplomacy and Sense Motive.
