| Rasputin66610-28-07, 07:26 PM | Hello, I've been looking into doing DnD for a while now and have always loved the idea of a cleric class. But I'm not sure what god or deity i want my hero fighting under. So i ask you, what is the best God for me? I like aspects of(in numerical order of importance) 1. Crusade 2. Arabian Influance 3. Fire 4. Sun 5. (who dosn't love) Demons and Devils So anything along those line's that applies to one or many of those traits listed above, please let me know. Thanks ahead PS. I'm open to playing any race neccacary.Same go's for alignment. |
| Witch10-28-07, 07:29 PM | Pholtus fits 1, 4 and 5. |
| Rasputin66610-28-07, 07:34 PM | Can you tell me a little about him(or her)? Or maybe send me a link to somthing that can? |
| Witch10-28-07, 07:46 PM | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pholtus |
| Rasputin66610-28-07, 07:57 PM | interesting....does anyone else have any idea's? Just want to get a sence of everything that there is to offer. |
| Salla10-28-07, 08:06 PM | You can always go cleric-of-a-cause if all else fails. :) |
| Zousha_Omenohu10-28-07, 08:21 PM | If you're playing in a Greyhawk-like setting, you might to consider Al'Akbar, the demigod of guardianship, faithfullness, dignity and duty. Very Arabian. Or you might look at the deities in Sandstorm. Can't remember them at the moment though. |
| Outsider Subtype10-29-07, 04:02 PM | What about one of the Pharonic deities, like Horus or Amon-Ra? Not quite Arabian but Middle Eastern at least. |
| GoukaRyuu10-29-07, 06:05 PM | Or maybe you could be creative and create your own. That's a fun option if your DM allows it. |

Aurifar, the deity of the midday sun, might be your best bet; Haku (Travel), Zoser (windstorms) and Al-Ishtus (waste monsters/raiders) might also work. Deities and Demigods has the Egyptian pantheon - and iirc a pseudo-Babylonian one, and FRCS has a form of the Egyptian pantheon as well (the Mulhorandi pantheon.) |
| Zousha_Omenohu10-30-07, 01:06 AM | The pantheons described in Deities and Demigods are the D&D pantheon, the Olympian (Greek), Pharonic (Egyptian), and Asgardian (Norse). The closest they get to Babylonian religions is in Sandstorm if I remember correctly. |
| Anubis.c.k10-30-07, 01:25 PM | Can only think of SET my self at moment |
| WarDragon10-30-07, 08:22 PM | Hextor likes crusades and devils, and could be worshipped in Arabian areas pretty easily. No sun or fire, though. I might suggest the Draconic god of fire and destruction, Garyx. |
