| Hammerhead11-01-07, 12:19 PM | Mine's Dispater |
| mvincent11-01-07, 01:16 PM | Furcas |
| Igfig11-01-07, 01:32 PM | Dispater. Furcas isn't really an archdevil. He's not even unique, I think, just a powerful pit fiend in the Dark Eight. |
| DwarfPcfan11-01-07, 01:36 PM | I'd have to say Mephistopheles in normal Dnd cosmology. there's something so deliciously fun about running that conniving, vindictive, fire wielding and ultimetly paradoxal archfiend. While NWN was'nt that great a game I loved the part where old Mephisto tells you to your face how he screwed everybody and laughs to the idiotic Valsharess's face about how stupid she'd been to believe she could really control him |
| Japan_the_cougar11-01-07, 01:49 PM | I really have a hard time choosing. At one end, I love Mephistopheles, because fire is an awesome force. On the other hand, I like Levistus, mostly because it seems like he doesn't get any love (except for a frostfell town). On the third hand (?), I like Glaysa mechanically, because her Brand of the Nine Hells and Mark are stupidly powerful, and I had a lot of fun playing playing her soul extorter in one game. |
| Sorcen_Anenooata11-01-07, 02:04 PM | Mephisto in the normal D&D cosmology. And of course Sorcen in my personal cosmology. |
| mvincent11-01-07, 02:06 PM | Furcas isn't really an archdevil.Sure, but I didn't want to be restricted to the Lords of the Nine. |
| Artifact11-01-07, 02:08 PM | Geryon, Deposed Lord of Stygia. I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop ever since the Reckoning ended (well, not me personally, but I'm sure Geryon has ;)). Unfortunately, most of his story has only been told as a matter of backround, detailing his place in "history"; there seems to be very little "current" information. That's one reason I think he's detailed as a vestige in Tome of Magic; because other than a name (and the history behind it), he has no real place in the D&D cosmos anymore. I'd love to see an official story that brings him "up to date". Vestige or not, he was once an archdevil of considerable power and influence, controlling the fifth layer of Hell itself. His only apparent weakness was loyalty. I would imagine him capable of regaining much (if not all) of this power, and even regaining his former position in the process. I've actually considered developing the character as an actual archdevil on my own (sorta in the vein of the Demononicon articles-- although James Jacobs would do it m'mm better of course ;)). Just to end things on the proper note, then: Levistus is a wimp-- talk about a snowball in Hell :P. |
| Witch11-01-07, 02:22 PM | I've actually considered developing the character as an actual archdevil on my own (sorta in the vein of the Demononicon articles-- although James Jacobs would do it m'mm better of course ;)). Geryon has been described in Chapter 8 of Gates of Hell (http://community.dicefreaks.com/PDF/TGoH8.pdf) - check it out, you may find some inspiration in it. Most of the flavor to my knowledge is compatible with the WotC version. As to my personal favorite - Dispater is quite intrigueing, but in the end, I'll go for Asmodeus, because he manages to have everything in Hell go his way. |
| Mr.Black11-01-07, 02:33 PM | Dispater, the iron man. He seems to echo the heartless, industrial, city that he runs. Mephistopheles runs a close second. He is pretty much the devil archtype with the fire, horns, and diabolical plans. I'd also like Beelzebul, but he really should look like a fly and not a slug. |
| Artifact11-01-07, 02:40 PM | Geryon has been described in Chapter 8 of Gates of Hell (http://community.dicefreaks.com/PDF/TGoH8.pdf) - check it out, you may find some inspiration in it. Most of the flavor to my knowledge is compatible with the WotC version. As to my personal favorite - Dispater is quite intrigueing, but in the end, I'll go for Asmodeus, because he manages to have everything in Hell go his way. I've actually got all 9 chapter of Gates of Hell :). I don't frequent Dicefreaks often, but I really enjoy their take on cosmology and the ultra-powerful beings who reside there. Its been a while since my last read, but Gates of Hell is simply outstanding, definitely a labor of love (dare I say such, considering the subject matter? :P). I'll have to go through it again before I consider starting up my li' Geryon project. Thanks, Witch! --Art |
| Kain_Darkwind11-01-07, 02:57 PM | Dispater. If we're treating Dukes, Dark Eight and outcasts as archdevils, I also have had enjoyable encounters with Hutijin and Dagos. |
| bloodtalon11-01-07, 03:07 PM | mine is Lady Fierna i used her a lot to manipulate one of the parties i run |
| Ornum11-01-07, 03:16 PM | Well, let's see. At one time I would have said Dispater, based on the interactions with him in the Fires of Dis adventure, but as I read more about him (at least in 3e) he seems a bit too cowardly (though the text says that it is caution and not cowardice). Before the Reckoning, I would have said Triel, but his new disgusting slug-like form irritates me. At the moment, I'll have to go with Mephistopheles, I suppose, for no real reason other than his appearance and attitude towards Asmodeus. |
| Lobsopdoy11-01-07, 06:05 PM | The correct answer is Asmodeus. Yeah, maybe that is a little too obvious for most people to pick, but come on! ASMODEUS!! *shoves hands in your face* |
| Artifact11-01-07, 06:31 PM | The correct answer is Asmodeus. Yeah, maybe that is a little too obvious for most people to pick, but come on! ASMODEUS!! *shoves hands in your face* Well, he is a GOD (:P) in 4th edition if I understand things correctly (that is, I've seen referrence to a Paladin of Asmodeus somewhere). Actually, wasn't Asmodeus considered a god (a pair of Twin Serpents devoted to Law) in the 2nd edition supplement A Guide To Hell by Chris Pramas? So he got demoted in 3rd edition? Then bumped back up for 4th? I'd be evil too if I'd been bounced around as much as that :P. I wonder if any of the other archdevils or demon princes will get the big bump? Oh, and on a similar note, I seem to be one of the few who are hoping they detail a few real world mythologicial gods to add to the core pantheon for 4e (say, Thor, or Hercules; I mean come on, they're instantly recognizable, not to mention classics of the fantasy genre ;)). |
| zopzop11-01-07, 06:47 PM | Among "current" Archdevils, it would have to be Baalzebul. Everything about him is cool (yes even his slug-like form). My favorite Archdevil (now God) ever has to be Gargauth. I mean look at the smackdown he unleashed upon Astaroth (a powerful demon prince). What other Archdevil has taken the fight to demons like that? |
| The Serge711-01-07, 08:49 PM | The Lord of the Nine, the Dark Lord of Nessus, and The Overlord of Hell, Asmodeus! |
| Wintermute_11-02-07, 12:54 AM | Fierana. Or Mephistopheles. It's a toss-up. |
| Return of the Flumph11-02-07, 09:00 AM | 1. Dispater, because he epitomizes the type of evil most prevalent in real life western society, and thus seems especially sinister to me. 2. Baalzevuv (Dicefreaks version), because nothing is more Lawful Evil than wanting to turn everyone in the universe into a mindless drone. 3. Mephistopheles, because he is cool. |
| goldomark11-02-07, 01:34 PM | Actually, wasn't Asmodeus considered a god (a pair of Twin Serpents devoted to Law) in the 2nd edition supplement A Guide To Hell by Chris Pramas? So he got demoted in 3rd edition? Then bumped back up for 4th? I'd be evil too if I'd been bounced around as much as that :P. He was something bigger then a god, like a primal force of the univers. He didn't need worshipers and ate on the souls of the faithless, to regenerate from is fall from grace. With Jazirian, LG goddess of the coualts, he was the Serpent of Law who ordered the chaotic multivers into the Great Wheel. But they disagreed on the place of good and evil, so they split and fought. The souls of the faithless, heal Asmodeus's numerous wounds from that cosmic battle. Is avatars could rival the other Archdukes, but his true form was an enormous serpent and so much more powerful. THAT Asmodeus was the nicest of all the Archdevils. |
| Doom_Linnorm11-02-07, 03:45 PM | Glasya, but Mephi's a close second. Few things are cooler then the daughter of Asmodeus, except maybe us Dragons :D I've had Glasya pull my PC's strings once, was good fun.... which reminds me... they should be heading back to Malbolge soon, their contract does include a small reward. (The only reason that they survived entering Hell (by accident I might add) is because one of 'em is a Talon of Tiamat.) Mind you Mephi has noticed and is gonne send some goons to interrogate them about the details of that contract  |
| Shemeska the Marauder11-02-07, 08:24 PM | Cantrum the founder of the Dark 8. Even though he's dead, if he was good enough for Tiamat (in a very non-platonic way), he's good enough for me (in a platonic way). Beyond him, probably Levistus, because he struck me as a nice and creative break from the original 1e incarnation of the Lords of the 9. |
| Hammerhead11-02-07, 08:35 PM | 1. Dispater, because he epitomizes the type of evil most prevalent in real life western society, and thus seems especially sinister to me. What do you mean exactly? I see him as embodying the rigid/dogmatic side of LE. |
| Starman IX11-02-07, 08:42 PM | Belial AND Fierna. It's like watching Jerry Springer and a sitcom when I imagine these two. |
| Return of the Flumph11-02-07, 08:52 PM | What do you mean exactly? I see him as embodying the rigid/dogmatic side of LE. Rigid, yes. Dogmatic, not so much. In my understanding of him, anyway. What I mean is that he is all about stagnation and social decay. Sealed inside his iron tower, ruling over his nigh-infinite city where lives are worthless and everything is controlled by mindless, faceless beaurocracies and their thug police force, slothful, corrupt, and mercantile. Everything that I don't like about the developed world is embodied in Dispater. Note: that's not to say I dislike the developed world in general. Just that the elements of it I don't like are distilled and intensified in Dispater. |
| Nitan11-02-07, 09:00 PM | Baalzebul. |
| Ryyam11-03-07, 01:47 AM | I have to agree with Artifact and say Geryon - he doesnt look like the average horny-goat dude and his #1 guy was an albino werewolf in a metal-kilt, how cool is that! Plus you got to fight him back in 2e in a Paladin in Hell |
| Dex11-03-07, 08:25 AM | Levestius. C'mon, he's frozen in a ****ing mountain of ice and he's still in control of his layer. Yeah, he might owe it to some of the other devils, but who (besides Asmodeus) doesn't? |
| Sorcen_Anenooata11-03-07, 09:46 AM | Since we can now pick none Lot9, then my vote moves to Amon, Geryon's aforementioned albino werewolf in a metal kilt. I have a character in my arena that claims to be a reincarnated Amon. |
| Malcadon11-03-07, 11:05 AM | I find Glasya to be the sexiest of all Arch-Devils, but my favorite is Mammon cuz he was f***ing Glasya right in dad's face!!! :schemes: |
| sciborg311-03-07, 02:27 PM | dispater - i see him and asmodeus as equals actually, in intellect/wisdom if not power. asmodeus is the king and dispater is the court mage. |
| Diran_Mror11-03-07, 03:36 PM | Who was the archdevil that has a Dragon, that can can breathe hellfire, as his guard? Oh yeah and what was the Dragon name? |
| Ryyam11-03-07, 03:37 PM | Since we can now pick none Lot9, then my vote moves to Amon, Geryon's aforementioned albino werewolf in a metal kilt. I have a character in my arena that claims to be a reincarnated Amon. You mean to say Amon is dead? Say it isnt so! |
| Return of the Flumph11-03-07, 04:17 PM | Who was the archdevil that has a Dragon, that can can breathe hellfire, as his guard? Oh yeah and what was the Dragon name? That's Mephistopheles. I forget the pet dragon's name, though. |
| Sorcen_Anenooata11-03-07, 10:30 PM | You mean to say Amon is dead? Say it isnt so! I read somewhere that since Geryon's deposition that Amon may be dead or banished to Avernus. I forget where I read this and exactly what it said so sorry if I got it wrong. In my campaign setting Amon had been banished when Geryon was deposed but when Sorcen took over he had heard of Amon and decided he would be quite useful so he sort of 'killed' Amon and 'reincarnated' him as Paraclesius the Professor of War and Domination at Septimus's School of Magic and Sorcen has also manipulated the mortals so that they worship Amon as the god of lycanthropy. Currently Amon/Paraclesius teaches at the Magic School. Likely Dispater and Mephisto would have a fit if they knew he was actually Amon so although Paraclesius refers to himself as the reincarnated Amon, there is considerable doubt on this claim and Sorcen has made it this way for a reason. |
| Kain_Darkwind11-04-07, 07:17 AM | Who was the archdevil that has a Dragon, that can can breathe hellfire, as his guard? Oh yeah and what was the Dragon name? Mephistopheles has a red dragon in his court, but I've never seen anything that suggested it could breathe hellfire. His name is in the BoVD, but I don't have that handy atm. |
| Malcadon11-04-07, 09:05 AM | That's Mephistopheles. I forget the pet dragon's name, though. Its Testaron! (Old male red dragon) |
| Jarred_Garrison11-04-07, 06:52 PM | Mephistopheles would be the one for me. |
| Kojiro James11-05-07, 12:24 AM | Mephistopheles. Out of all the Lords of the Nine, he's the most like myself. |
| SokenzanMarauder11-05-07, 12:58 AM | Mephistopheles; easily. |
| cat_god12-15-07, 06:03 PM | Mephistophelese, totally. |
| Phae12-16-07, 12:28 AM | Mephistopheles, Asmodeus, Fierna in that order. Mephistopheles have fire and brimstone: the basic devil. Also, he has the niftiness of being an archdevil. |
| Asra12-16-07, 09:41 PM | Dispater, all the way! I like the way he operates, and his paranoia and the stagnant evil he represents is a nice change from the other devils. Also, he rules Dis. Though if I could choose past Arch-Devils, I'd probably have went with Geryon due to his loyalty. He was Lawful Evil, just not the right kind of Lawful Evil. |
| Kihon12-17-07, 01:12 PM | Mephistopheles the devil archtype with the fire, horns, and diabolical plans. Dispater - the Iron Man. |
| RAGNAROKISCOMING200712-17-07, 01:45 PM | Mephistopheles, Baalzebul, Asmodeus, Bel, and Belial in that order. |
| setekh12-17-07, 02:46 PM | Bel. What can I say, in a land of politics gone mad, I'm glad there is one guy willing to actually fight the blood war. |
| NoldorForce12-18-07, 11:29 PM | Mephistopheles - Classic evil and corruption incarnate. There's a reason Dr. Faustus keeps getting mentioned, isn't there? Dispater - Iconic evil overlord. Who's of course read all the corresponding lists out there. Hyperconservatism can serve one very well at the top. Bel - When everyone else bickers over Hell, it's refreshing to see someone with the cunning and will to get the real job done. |
| Zebppir12-20-07, 09:15 PM | Glasya the hilton of hell and because her feats saved my PC's life |
| LordMortanius12-23-07, 04:58 AM | In no particular order; The Dark Lord, Mephistopheles, Bel and Dispater. |
| EmissaryofRagnarok12-23-07, 07:49 PM | I Love the ambitious Mephistopheles if simply for the fact he has balls of solid rock when it comes to opposing the other Archdukes. He plays double or nothin'. I appreciate Bel for many reasons; as a tactical genius and physical combatant. He retains his warrior spirit in face of the corrupt politics of Baator. I also see him in a position to gain a lot of power. "give me more power, or I let the taanari march on through" Bel almost has the feeling of the misguided fool villian. Dispater and Mammon are my least favorite Archdukes. while Dispater may have his own fiendish designs, he's just a paranoid coward. Mammon is just a whiny little imp. So he did the horizontal boogie with Asmodeus' daughter. That simply spells out a removal from power that has been a long time coming. I replace him in all my campaigns. |
| Shemeska the Marauder12-23-07, 08:31 PM | The fiend smiles as if about to say something, but then pauses and picks at a stray bit of copper colored fur. Fixing the momentary blemish, she continues where she'd intended to begin "I've always been impressed with Bel. Accomplishments and power are nothing to be downplayed, to say nothing of physique as well I should add. The boy served his time under Dagos according to the history books, but most of those who would have served under him at the time, or even beside him have since in turn been replaced or ground under by the wheels of Baator, killed or promoted to the point where their memories of that tenure remain slim or more likely erased by the flames of Phlegethos." The 'loth pauses a second time and places the tip of slender glass waterpipe on her lips and inhales deeply, holding it in for a pregnant moment before exhaling streamers of blue and purple smoke from her nostrils and between her fangs. "So it begs the question doesn't it? Bel's rise to power was brilliantly planned, and his overthrow of Zariel was done with perfection that even I can admire. If you looked, could you find anyone who personally witnessed Bel's existance prior to his service under Dagos in the 1st Command of Baator? Hmm? Could you?" The 'loth lets you think about that a moment and toys with a bit of curling razorvine atop her head, batting a claw at a patch of dried blood (not hers apparently) on a slender, deadly stem. "Outside of the Dark 8 of course. They'd give you a tale that's for certain, but of course, only two of them are conceivably the same individual who stood by Bel when Zariel was dragged from her throne and imprisoned beneath the Bronze Citadel of Avernus to suffer... well..." A momentarily dreamy look crosses the fiend's face, insinuating agonies and other things best left to the imagination "To suffer suffice to say." "There's only one truth that solves all of the questions and inconsistancies of course. You see, Bel wasn't always known as Bel. In fact Bel's rise to power was a lovely, delicious little ploy to escape the eyes of the 9 and rise above and beyond the ranks of the orthodoxy without the nightmarish restrictions, stipulations, and ramifications he should have faced. Through it all the Dark 8 supported Bel, worked to elevate him, and why? When when he ostensibly labored under their heels as a mere pit fiend did they seem to act exactly how he would have wanted them to act, taking the view of a few hundred thousand years' perspective? There's a simple reason." "Oh, they said it was an assassin. A paladin even. Or maybe an underling and the paladin story was a lie developed by the tanar'ri, or even the ministries of the 8 to hide a death so soon after their founding. But you see, the beauty of it all is that Cantrum never died..." Smiling at her revelation of such a secret, the arcanaloth smiles and bats her eyelashes, giving an expression that puts you ill at ease and entirely uncertain if her words were the blackest of darks, or a lie set to grease the wheels of baator with another round of blood and betrayals. |
| Franco Un-American12-23-07, 11:51 PM | So you think Bel is Cantrum? Interesting idea, I wouldn't have though of it... |
| CryoSilver12-24-07, 01:03 PM | I likeMephistopheles; he's the quintessential devil, in my mind. I also like the ice/fire contrast. |
| sciborg312-24-07, 01:21 PM | Careful now Franco, or Shemmy will start sending you some 'loth propaganda, errr...history... Whereas I, of course, will be more than happy to teach the ways of Apomps so that you can reach the Dark Nirvana of the Black Triangle: "we are memory moving through corpses" |
| Lazaro12-24-07, 06:41 PM | Mephistopheles |
| EmissaryofRagnarok12-25-07, 11:15 AM | I have this instictive feeling that I may regret it, but I cannot deny my curiousity (and I respect the thought put into the theory too much not show it recognition); But I am not familiar with Cantrum. Would it be possible to get more information, if only to enjoy the prospect of Bel's rise more than I already do? It certainly makes Bel a much higher player in the politics of Baator, and would be appreciated. If its true, Bel may very well be more secretive than Dispater more ambitious than Mephistopheles, and maybe (maybe mind you) as cold and cunning as Asmodeus. Its a wonderful concept. |

Cantrum was the founder of the Dark Eight before he was murdered. Shemmy will be able to tell you better if it was mentioned in Hellbound:the Blood War or Faces of Evil:the Fiends. I've always felt that Cantrum didn't really die either, but not that he was Bel. A very interesting concept put forth by Shem, though. |

Are they novels, or reference materials from earlier editions? |
| Kain_Darkwind12-26-07, 12:30 AM | Hmm, that is an interesting idea. But I am not familiar with those referenced resources either. Are they novels, or reference materials from earlier editions? The later. Two Planescape supplements. |
| Shemeska the Marauder12-27-07, 01:54 AM | I actually regret only having that idea (Bel=Cantrum) now, rather than two years ago, because I would have worked it into my current campaign, being that it involves a lot of hellish politics. Of course my PCs rather directly helped release Zariel, who promptly gutted Bel, so it's a bit late. Blarg. Oh well. |
| XHereticX01-01-08, 10:39 PM | Either Asmodeus (Master of Hell, unmatched supergenius, makes deities wet their pants) or Mephistopheles (diabolical archetype, delightful split fire/ice personality, just plain cool) My least favorite would be either Belial (a disgusting wimp that is being served by his own daughter) or Levistus (boring aristocratic dude trapped in an icecube) |
| M1kh43l_P4r4d1s001-01-08, 11:12 PM | St. Cuthbutt. |
| pale_enchantress01-01-08, 11:57 PM | I really liked the hag countess but she is gone. I like Dispater and Baalzebul(though I prefer to portray him in his pre slug form). I liked mephisto much better during his days of being lord of cold. He is quite sexy though. |
| BloodDragon02-14-08, 11:07 AM | You mean to say Amon is dead? Say it isnt so! Semi-Necromancy! Amon is (Much like Geryon) a vestige now. So no he isn't dead, he certainly isn't alive though. Honestly I didn't even know who Amon was til I saw this thread and did some research. Makes me wonder what other Abyssal or Infernal fiends are now vestiges... Anyway Mephistopheles, Asmodeus, Levistus (the guys in charge are always the most interesting) and Gargauth lord of the Tenth due to my love for Binders are my favorite picks. God I love the planes, I'll miss them so much in 4th. |
| Kiioro02-14-08, 11:28 AM | Probably Glasya, although Mephistopheles's dual nature appeals to me too. I like Levistus because he had the b***s to go against Asmodeus. |
| Shemeska the Marauder02-14-08, 01:21 PM | Semi-Necromancy! Amon is (Much like Geryon) a vestige now. So no he isn't dead, he certainly isn't alive though. Honestly I didn't even know who Amon was til I saw this thread and did some research. The Amon that is a vestige is not the same Amon that was a duke of Hell. Same name, very different history and origin. The Amon who was a duke of Hell is actually still alive and wandering Avernus, exiled there following the death of Geryon. |
| Kain_Darkwind02-14-08, 05:05 PM | The Amon that is a vestige is not the same Amon that was a duke of Hell. Same name, very different history and origin. The Amon who was a duke of Hell is actually still alive and wandering Avernus, exiled there following the death of Geryon. His stats can be found in the first issue of the fake Dragon magazine. |
| Shemeska the Marauder02-14-08, 07:22 PM | His stats can be found in the first issue of the fake Dragon magazine. And that would be why I hadn't seen it. |
| Dragoon_Warrior02-14-08, 07:22 PM | The correct answer is ... ASMODEUS!! *shoves hands in your face* I whole heartedly agree here, its good to be the king. |
| RobbyPants02-15-08, 07:01 AM | I've always liked Mephistopheles, but I love that story about Asmodeus at the beginning of Fiendish Codex II. |
| GuyrtheadamantineOne02-15-08, 07:49 AM | I've always liked Mephistopheles, but I love that story about Asmodeus at the beginning of Fiendish Codex II. Yeah, that was a good way to put on the devils. |
| Tempest_Dnate_Rown02-16-08, 04:06 PM | if you counted Asmodeus then it would be him[i have a wizard who worships him, gonna the disciple prestige] But other than that prolly Bel,he's still a warrior despite the fact he has his own realm |
| ProfessorHydra02-16-08, 07:12 PM | Mephistopheles is my favorite LoN (using Dicefreaks flavor). I enjoy his personal struggles for a purpose. My favorite is Gargauth(Astaroth), Arch-Devil of Irony. His history and plans of double crossing Ao, while Asmodeus already has this plan accounted for gives me a real feeling of the Pit. |
| Evil DM Mk302-16-08, 07:42 PM | If we stick to the ones you will recognise, Levistus. I like to use his minions as villains. I however much much prefer Mermazion, one of my own Arch Fiends, mostly because he is THE suave, charming Magnificent Bastard. Almost every fiend regards him well (despite this being utterly out of character for any fiend, he is that good) except Asmodius (who still genuinely respects the current power of his former mortal affairs advisor) and Mephistopheles (the two have never got on). |
| Kain_Darkwind02-17-08, 06:25 AM | I like them all..... http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/3434/loninewo3.png |
| The Serge702-17-08, 11:22 AM | Heh heh heh. |
| Evil DM Mk302-17-08, 06:17 PM | Why does Bel look cheery? Oh and why is Despater talking over Asmodius? And why is Levistus in an ice block? I thought he got let out for these meetings. Seriously though love the pic. |
| Seldriss02-21-08, 07:57 PM | Belial. Sure, he had much more influence in the past, but i don't worry for him ;) |
| Axisell02-22-08, 07:22 AM | Mephistopholese is the awsomeness. I have been saying this ever since I saw his entry because he is the only person in the entire cosmos badass enough to tell asmodeus to his face he will rule in his stead |
| Drackthor02-22-08, 05:15 PM | I like them all..... http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/3434/loninewo3.png I love the poster on the left that says "Spines get you frozen in Hell." That's too funny, man. |
| Lia The Sun Elf Wizard02-22-08, 05:48 PM | Mine is lady Fierna,it looks like Glasya is "helping" her with politics. I play with a female tiefling cleric of Fierna (disciple of darkness feat taken as stated in Champions of Ruin). As cults of Fierna are brand new, here we bet she'll operate similar as the Cult of Glasya does (cause Glasya and Fierna are very good friends), getting mothers, daughters and consorts of powerful male and teaching them to be the power behind the throne (it's good for role-playing chronicles and not hack and slash :)). So, my second choice surely is Glasya. It's a pity we won't know officially if Glasya is manipulating Fierna or if they are friends indeed. |

Nonsense, they are devils, the two go hand and hand with each other. If either Glasya or Fierna wasn't expecting potential betrayal, they'd be unworthy of a diabolical friendship. |
| Lia The Sun Elf Wizard02-23-08, 06:09 PM | Of course i expect a betrayal between them, but i wanted to see if Fierna would betray Belial first. And it's expected the betrayal, but this diabolical friendship you mentioned could last for 1 thousand years or even more depending on the mutual interest of both. What i wanted to mean it's the near future. If Belial would be able to manipulate Fierna to not fall in the Glasya's appeal or if Glasya's supposed friendship would make Fierna's mind to kill Belial or at least demote him of his rank of lord of the layer (i know Fierna alone won't match Belial or it would be too dificult for her to win, but with Glasya's help, things could become easier). |

Well, traditionally, Belial and Fierna have been given the exact same stats, HD and ability scores, so actually, Fierna stands an excellent chance of killing him. ;) But as for the friendship/manipulation thing goes, I think they are the same thing. Both of them are using each other, but the friendship is as real as it could get in Hell. |
| Kenzuki02-24-08, 04:05 PM | I wonder how the Lords of the Nine will be treated in 4th edition now that Asmodeus is a true god. |
| Space_Dragon02-27-08, 08:11 PM | Who'se the purple-haired lady at the far left of the picture? Is that supposed to be Glasya? |
| bobotheguy02-27-08, 08:27 PM | Levistus, he shows the most potential of actualy doing something with himself should he be released (revenge). Plus, as someone above mentioned, hes a ruler of Hell AND trapped in an icecube. |
| Kain_Darkwind02-27-08, 10:23 PM | Who'se the purple-haired lady at the far left of the picture? Is that supposed to be Glasya? I can only assume so by process of elimination. It certainly isn't my picture, I can't draw. |
