Who would win in a fight? demogorgon, asmodeus, or the leader of the neutral evil guys (forget the names sorry).

Who would care?

There isn't one single ruler of the yugoloths (NE fiends). Mydianchlarus, the General of the Gehenna, Bubonix, Charon, the baernaloths of the Demented, etc all have their own spheres of influence, and different forms of influence. But there's no one single ruler.

there's a thread on this already.

The one thing I love about this particular sub-forum is how instead of fanboys jumping on the fray and starting to stat out the various archdevils and demon lords, or whatnot, and discussing why or why not they´d win, you guys give comments on the question itself, but direct him to the only thread that has the discussion, and not clutter the rest with it. Gotta love it :)

Well...the other thread is mostly about demons and devils...yugoloths weren't included.

The three different groups are powerful in their own ways. Hard to say which would win...it would depend largely on the situation.

Depends on which plane they are on.

Though I do think overall that the General is the weakest. If you used some uber-baernloth however, that, would be a different story.

Depends on how you define what sort of power or influence we're measuring by. The General would seem to be older than anything in the Abyss, and either a contemporary of, or older than any of the original baatezu (assuming the baatezu fall from primal LN to LE story is true).

I would say that being the first 'loth to acheive Ultroloth status, and having had an apparently key role in the creation of two of the other earliest races of fiends has to say something about your power (and/or your ability to follow the advice of beings still unfathomably older than you still).

The General is one of the boogeymen of the lower planes. Felt but not seen.

Older dosen't always mean stronger shem, I highly doubt an 80 year old toothless man would be stronger than The Rock.

What the General did with the Heart of Darkness was no big deal, just some artifact the Baern gave him an instructed him on how to use, which created manes and lemures:D

Not saying that he is weak however, his mysteriousness and dark influence does reflect his manipulative skill and he seems to strike fear into nearly everything.

Still, judging from their poor performance in Resurrection, I've already half-given up on loth lords entirely as just advanced ultroloths and arcanaloths who grovel before the gods:(

The fiends in R. were a fluke, not a precident. Between archfiends getting belittled in their own domains by lesser gods, lightning vulnerable tanar'ri, and yugoloths spawning from larvae, I look at it as a nice story that didn't really have much reflection on any planar lore on the topic.

But speaking of that "performance", you might like a story I'm almost finished with that takes place in the aftermath of all of that, within the 3e FR cosmology. (Yes, yes everyone knows my opinion on it, and I'm using it in a story, but as a 'loth would say, trust me).
