| retillin04-05-07, 10:33 PM | So I've been trying to put together collections of all the races, classes, ect... and I was wondering if anyone could give me a run down on the Yugoloths and what book they are in. 3ed only please. (I have most of the 2ed planscape but I'm looking for stats) Thanks ahead of time. |
| KillerVole04-05-07, 10:39 PM | There are Yugoloths in the Monster Manuals 2, 3, and 4. There are two in the fiend folio. There is one in Stormwrack. |
| Shemeska the Marauder04-05-07, 11:11 PM | MM2 = Arcanaloth, Marraenoloth, Yagnoloth FF = Piscoloth, Skerroloth MotP and MM3 = Canoloth, Mezzoloth, Nycaloth, Ultroloth Stormwrack = Echinoloth MMIV = Voor, Dread Lasher, Corruptor of Fate (note that they lack the proper naming convention, among other things. I don't hold them in very high regard as far as the design that went into making them. They're salvageable however if you assume that they're all forms of Guardian Yugoloths) Others may appear in future material. But we'll see. |
| Dunamin04-06-07, 01:43 AM | I find Dackad's versions (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=87594&page=1&pp=30) quite nice. |
| Bob the Efreet04-08-07, 10:57 PM | I find Dackad's versions (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=87594&page=1&pp=30) quite nice. Those are the ones I use. |
| Kojiro James04-08-07, 11:58 PM | MMIV = Voor, Dread Lasher, Corruptor of Fate (note that they lack the proper naming convention, among other things. I don't hold them in very high regard as far as the design that went into making them. They're salvageable however if you assume that they're all forms of Guardian Yugoloths) They should have at least have been named Vooroloth and Corruptoloth. (Do note that the Lasher is just an HD advanced Voor.) |
| Shemeska the Marauder04-09-07, 12:24 AM | They should have at least have been named Vooroloth and Corruptoloth. (Do note that the Lasher is just an HD advanced Voor.) *nod* I don't mind the Voor as a demoted form of mezzoloth, or a form of guardian yugoloth, but it's the ignoring of the naming convention that irked me on them. If I ever have a chance to mention the Voor in passing, I'll intentionally refer to it as a Vooroloth. But don't know what the chances of having that opportunity arise are. As for the Corruptor of Fate, I just plain don't like them as yugoloths, both for ignoring the naming convention and ignoring many of the key parts of 'loth ecology. They're fine as a random type of fiend, or even as a type of yugoloth construct (which'd be my preference), but not as actual yugoloths. |
| Singer_of_the_Song04-09-07, 01:51 AM | They can also be found here (http://www.geocities.com/paranoidus_maximus/creatures.htm). These kind of look like tweaks or updates of Dackad's versions. |
| Etharion04-09-07, 07:59 AM | That's a great list, Singer of Song. Some really cool monsters.. Where can i find more monsters like this? That is..can you give me any other link to a similar list full of monsters? |
| KillerVole04-09-07, 11:07 PM | Here's a site with many monsters converted from AD&D : http://www.enworld.org/cc/converted/index.php |
| Singer_of_the_Song04-09-07, 11:16 PM | That's another good one. |
