| Wraith_Blade7403-07-07, 07:51 AM | Hi Folks New to these forums, so a big well met to you all! A couple of questions i have that came out of my game last night, I think they are probably really easy to solve but i couldn't find the answers: 1)continual light: One of my PCs has cast continual light on his shield, however last night they walked into a Drow ambush, the first thing that happened was the Drow dropped a sphere of darkness on the pc's, but I couldn't find out which spell (CL vs Darkness) would 'win' or would they just nullify each other? in the end I had the Drow cast dispell magic on the shield, but i would like to know for future reference (i thought it may go on the respective caster levels, but I'm not certain) 2)Rage: In the same encounter the PC barbarian flew into a rage, hower 3 rounds before the rage was due to end, he was put onto -2 hit points and with his level, losing the temp hit points from the rage would have sent him beyond -10, so my question is does rage end when a character goes below 0 hp or does it carry on for the full duration? I house ruled that due to the adrenalin flowing through his body the rage would not end, but I just wondered if there was an official ruling. Thanks for any help cheers |

A darkness cast after a pre-existing continual light will reset the light conditions to shadowy illumination. Rage doesn't end until its duration is up or some event happens which specifically ends a rage condition such as the Calm Emotion spell. Dropping to negative hp isn't listed as such an event so the rage should continue. |
