Its a pretty straightforward question but the answer has continued to allude me. I've noticed that under stat blocks monsterous HD specifically tend to be listed with the levels ala (anthropomorphic baleen whale 3/fighter 6/etcetc). Does this mean that for the purpose of things like initiator levels (which count every non-initiator class as a 1/2 initiator level) monsterous HD would count as a 1/2 each? I just can't seem to find a concrete answer.

Yes. Your initiator level is Initator Class Level+Initiator PrC Level+Other HD/2.

Yes. Your initiator level is Initator Class Level+Initiator PrC Level+Other HD/2.

An initiator PrC doesn't always count toward full initiator levels. Check the individual class for details.

This opens up possibilities. Re-arranging a Dragon's feats? Nevermind the Draconomicon, give them Martial Study and Martial Stance....

Check out Dragons of Eberron - one of the Draconic Archetypes lets you drop out Sorceror spells/day for martial maneuvers from Tiger Claw.

Full initiating dragons are kinda overpowered. I went with "Drop casting, give equal amount of martial IL to Sorc casting level."

White Dragon with Fire Immunity stance, Avalanche of Blades and few other goodies was --- well, definitely weaker than a caster one, but much simpler to run and very entertaining.
