An AoP question [Archive] - Wizards Community

here's the set-up. A monk tripped by a winter wolf so that the Monk is now prone. Another wolf moves in and snatches an amulet from the Monk's neck. Normally this would provoke an attack of Oppo, but the monk is prone and threatens no squares. I think that means no AoP, why do you fellows think?

Being prone does not affect how you threaten squares (other than taking a -4 to hit). Moot question. :)

You take a -4 penalty to your AC vs melee attacks when prone, but I can't find a mention of a penalty to hit while prone.
