Quick question. Can a character withdraw a furry ball from a bag of tricks, skewer it on an arrow, and have it still turn into an animal when the arrow hits its mark up to 20 ft. away?

Please respond quickly: we're playing in an hour.

Well, I dunno. I think part of the activation is that you have to throw the fuzzy ball.

In any case, wouldn't the animal product of the bag be skewered by an arrow wherever it landed?

EXCELLENT. You have to toss it in order to activate it. Thank you very much. I knew there was a reason this was not acceptable, and this is it.

This also sinks my player's plan to force-feed a ball to someone and have a rhinoceros explode him from the inside.

Thanks again.

More specifically, it seems you have to toss it within 20 feet. So, use pitching fuzzy lumps further than that.

"A creature or object brought into being or transported to your location by a conjuration spell cannot appear inside another creature or object"
