Greetings one and all,

I didn't see this in my quick perusal of the FAQ, but does a wizard with the Bane (Aberrations) Metamagic feat deal an additional 2d6 damage with every MM that he fires or does it only work on the first hit on a particular Aberration.

In other words, does it work similar to Fell Drain Metamagic feat, in that if you hit multiple targets with the spell, it does the 2d6 bane damage to individual targets? If you hit one target with a 9th level MM you would do 5d4+5 + 2d6?

Curious,

Can you post the source for that feat please, I don't think I've seen it.

Source is Lords of Madness, pg.178.

It states specifically in the feat description that you only get the additional damage once per casting, and uses magic missile as an illustration of this. The caster must designate which missile gets the extra damage. A spell that deals damage over more than one round gets the extra damage once per round.

Cheers.

Now I know why I didn't recognise the meta feat.
