Bear Grapple and Mounted Combat [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-13-07, 09:32 PM When a Bear, or for that fact any beast with Natural weapons, grapples you, it can deal lethal damage like a Monk right?

When mounted, can both the horse and the character perfrom a move and a standard action or a similar combination of actions? (The horse moves its speed and attacks and you draw a weapon and attack for example)

08-13-07, 11:26 PM No. Creatures with natural weapons do not automatically deal lethal damage when grappling. Only creatures with Improved Grab and Constrict do.

For your second question, the answer is yes: both rider and mount get all of their actions. Just keep in mind that for the rider to make a melee full attack, the mount cannot move more than 5 feet.
