| spikevampire06-25-07, 01:25 PM | 2 questions...: - Can i attack with a slam attack and a full attack in the same round? EX. Can i attack with a long sword +6 / + 1 and a -5 attack with my slam??? - Can i use both unarmed strike and slam attack in a full attack? EX +11/+10/+1 and a -5 attack with slam?? thanks |
| Morwen06-25-07, 01:49 PM | Yes, you can do that. Assuming you have a slam attack, of course :) |
| Sildatorak06-25-07, 01:58 PM | Also note, the slam will only get half of your strength bonus added to its damage, too. |
| spikevampire06-25-07, 02:11 PM | thanks a lot :D sorry for mine stupid questions but i have to control more than one Power Player |
| Anathema06-25-07, 02:34 PM | Going off a presumption here .. I would simply not allow your players, especially ones you feel you have to control, to play as a vampire. For a number of reasons. Not the least of which being that vampires are required to be evil. |
| spikevampire06-25-07, 08:22 PM | no no not a vampire it thake this form of attack from strenght domain in complete champion, but this is only a joke, mine players are my friend and one of this were near me when i wrote this post. Thank you all, in particulary tu you anatema, you are ever in the right place at right moment. |
| calronmoonflower06-26-07, 02:10 AM | 2 questions...: - Can i attack with a slam attack and a full attack in the same round? EX. Can i attack with a long sword +6 / + 1 and a -5 attack with my slam??? of you attack with a weapon in the same hand you get the natural attack from, then you cannot use that natural attack. So it would depend. Example: You have two claw attack and full attack with a long sword with one hand. You can then also get a single claw attack. If you used both hands for the long sword you wouldn't get a claw attack. - Can i use both unarmed strike and slam attack in a full attack? EX +11/+10/+1 and a -5 attack with slam?? Unless you are a monk (can make an unarmed strike without hands) then the same applies here as well. |
| Terraneaux06-26-07, 02:12 AM | Slams are one of the few natural attacks that can be made with 'an appendage,' to quote the monster manual. You can make your slam attacks with your head if you want to. |
| spikevampire06-26-07, 08:02 AM | nice a big head bomb!!! yes i taught that i cannot attack with a two weapon sword and 2 claws, because is virtually impossible... i haven't understand well slam attack, but if any appendage i can give an elbow or an ass attack :D |
| Father Dale06-26-07, 09:06 AM | Oooh Ass Attack! I'm using this with my monk next time we play! |
| Dragom06-28-07, 11:13 PM | Appendage Definition 1: Biology A part or organ, such as an arm, leg, tail, or fin, that is joined to the axis or trunk of a body. Appendage Definition 2: Anatomy, Zoology. any member of the body diverging from the axial trunk. On a Human or Human shaped creature the Axial Trunk is a line drawn that matches the Spine (or location where the spine would be). As such niether the head, the buttox or the chest are an appendage. |
| Mystic Lemur06-28-07, 11:19 PM | I thought you could only use it as a natural secondary attack with a full armed attack if the creature's attack description said so (i.e. the hybrid lycanthrope's bite attack can be a secondary to a full attack, but not his claws) |
| Dragom06-28-07, 11:47 PM | Actually this is a spot where the rules start to go kind of all blurry and soft and there's an attached mental virus that makes people think they know exactly how this should work and that everyone else is destroying the game. Seriously I had froth on my lips when I wrote that stuff about appendages. I'm seriously surprised this hasn't attracted a frenzied flame war. |
| Morwen06-29-07, 07:37 AM | I thought you could only use it as a natural secondary attack with a full armed attack if the creature's attack description said so If you wield one weapon in both hands, then you can't use your claw attacks (as your claws are holding weapons). If you only wield a weapon in one hand, with the other free, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use one claw attack in addition to your full attack. |
| Mystic Lemur06-30-07, 12:40 PM | Except that sometimes the rules don't say you can, even when they say the bite, or whatever, can be. ;) |
