| Free198306-06-07, 05:49 AM | Can you change your size with a hat of disguise? My player is a halfling rogue who got it to blend in with the surroundings. Most of my towns are humanmade (medium size), and although I allow her to become a human kid, I'm not sure if I should give her the opportunity to change to a full grown man. So can the hat of disguise change your sizecategory (by one)? Cheers |

| mvincent06-06-07, 02:29 PM | can the hat of disguise change your sizecategory (by one)?Nope. However, the epic usage of the disguise skill (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/skills.htm#disguise) can allow you to appear up to 50% taller (with a -50 to the roll). A hat of disguise only gives you a +10 bonus on the Disguise check, but if you were good enough then you could possibly appear to be a (very short) human. ... maybe if you sat on top of another halfling and used a trenchcoat... |

| mvincent06-06-07, 04:40 PM | A wand of alter-self could make you medium sized for a longer period of time than the enlarge spell. As an added bonus; alter-self can allow you to assume troglodyte form (for +6 natural armor), then use the hat to appear like a human. |
