| Ced66607-31-07, 07:30 AM | Hello ! I have some questions related to the 'Coup de grace'. 1) Can you coup de grace somebody that is being held (with the spell hold person) ? I would say yes because they are immobilized. 2) Can you coup de grace somebody which is held on a horse (and we suppose that he didn't fell off the horse) ? 3) Can you coup de grace somebody while you are yourself riding a horse ? (In questions 2 and 3, the target is of course helpless). Thanks |
| runestar07-31-07, 07:47 AM | Yes to all your scenarios, assuming the target is indeed helpless in some way. Hold person paralyzes its target (albeit in a funny way, given that it is a compulsion spell), so it would be helpless for purposes of a CDG. |

| Kouk07-31-07, 09:58 AM | Well, if the mount is so inclined to take an AoO then yes. I would say though, if the mount is moving around you can't coup de grace the helples rider unless you are also riding on that mount. You would also have to stop your own mount in order to perform a coup de grace on someone else. |
