The thing that is confusing me however is the price of the randomly generated magic weapons. From what I can gather from the short bit of text at the bottom of one of the tables in the DMG, if the second head has an enhancement bonus of one less than the main head it doesnt effect the cost?? |

The rules say: "If randomly determined, the second head of a double weapon has the same enhancement bonus as the main head (01-50 on d%), doubling the cost of the bonus, or its enhancement bonus is one less (51-100 on d%) and it has no special abilities." This does not mean that there is no extra cost in the second case (it just means that the pricing was now too complicated to explain in a footnote). |

The footnote also said: "Masterwork double weapons incur double the masterwork cost to account for each head (+300 gp masterwork cost per head for a total of +600 gp)" |
