Dervish Dance fatigue vs. Horizon Walker [Archive] - Wizards Community

Here's a quick question that was asked in our group recently:

Does the Horizon Walker chosen planar ability "Desert" supersede the fatigue effect that the Dervish Dance causes?

In other words, a character that performs the dervish dance is considered fatigued after the dance (unless the Dervish is 9th level), but if that character was multi-classed to Horizon Walker and chose the Desert planar ability (which states "You resist effects that tire you. You are immune to fatigue, and anything that would cause you to become exhausted makes you fatigued instead."), would the character be immune to the after-effect of the dance?

Any ideas or opinions? Thanks for the help!

I'd say yes - the Horizon Walker is immune. You can deal with this by bringing a sling and a bag of mini-cheeses to the game.

How is that cheese? PGTF already has a regional feat which makes you immune to fatigue outright.

lol ... excellent!

i suppose the whole question is more of a rhetorical one, since Dervish becomes immune to the fatigue effect of the dervish dance at 9th level anyway. I don't know if making a Ranger X / Horizon Walker 1 / Dervish X is all that great of a build, but our game is kind of a core rules game and i was thinking, at least in the short term, that getting that fatigue immunity and then following it up with all the Dervish levels might be helpful.

thanks for the info.
