Elgeis 04-06-07, 10:27 PM	A quick question that im too simple to figure out:confused: . A druid's special "animal companion" gives him animals such as a wolf to start out with, but the druids also get a spell called summon nature's ally, so can they have both pets out at once? Are the two pets really the same thing and I am confused because of the different names? I thought instead of sitting here guessing I would come to the proffesionals, please help:( .

A animal companion grows in power as the druid advances in level. Summon Nature's Ally is a spell that temporarily summons animals to aid in combat. Creatures summoned by this spell do not grow in power like the animal companion and disappear at the end of the spell's duration. Does that help?
