| svifwin08-15-07, 12:51 AM | Not sure where exactly to ask this and get an official answer but: We have a dispute whether you get more eldritch blasts due to having extra attacks from your base attack bonus of +6 or higher (+6/+1 ect) while making a full attack action OR since it is a spell-like ability it is considered by default a Standard action. However, the dispute goes on. Since the wording on the spell-like ability description: A spell-like ability has a casting time of 1 standard action unless noted otherwise in the ability or spell description. In the description of Eldritch blast it says: It is a ranged touch attack that affects a single target, allowing no saving throw. My friend thinks since "It is a ranged touch attack that affects a single target, allowing no saving throw." is in the abilities description it that it is being specified otherwise and can be used as a full attack action and gain extra attacks from base attack bonus. I however believe that it is a spell-like ability it is a standard action to use and it is NOT specified as any other type of action. I even showed the Action type list which lists every type of action. So, is there an official word from this? which is it and if i cannot get an official word here where can i ask this question. |

If something requires a standard action (as opposed to an attack action) to use, you can’t use the full attack action to gain extra uses of that ability, even with the Rapid Shot feat. " |
| DrunkDwarf08-24-07, 09:27 AM | If your friend wants to get a full attack with Eldritch Blast, all he needs is a Least Blast Shape Invocation from the Dragon Magic book... called Eldritch Glaive... which turns the blast into a Glaive (complete with reach) which it specifically says you can take multiple attacks with as a full attack action if your base attack allows it. |
