The ability states that the doppelganger assumes its target's identity with 100% accuracy, possessing all memories, alignment and abilities except for divinely granted ones, while retaining its own DR, darkvision, fast healing and SR. But what exactly happens to things like hit points, skills, feats and its challenge rating when it does this? Does it assume those of its target or keep its own? What if the target has a higher CR? Or am I simply thinking to hard, and should I just add any Special Attack/Quality of the intended target to the doppelganger and leave it at that? Any help or insight would be appreciated.
