Would casting an [Evil] spell give off an aura detectable by "Detect Evil" ?

02-12-08, 02:40 AM yes, check out page 219 of the Player's Handbook. Look at the part that "Lingering Aura".

02-18-08, 05:18 PM The spell effect itself will give off an aura (and leave a lingering aura as mentioned by calronmoonflower), but the casting of said spell will not (if the casting of said spell is somehow interrupted or otherwise prevented, no aura will result).
